David Mundy From A Docker to a Demon

Fremantle champion David Mundy is strongly considering an off-field role at Perth Football Club under former mentor Peter German.

Nearly two decades after they won a WAFL premiership together at Subiaco in 2004, The West Australian understands the 37-year-old has been in discussions with German to join his coaching staff casually with the pair remaining close.
The Dockers’ games-record holder will add valuable experience to the Demons, desperate for success after a disappointing three-win campaign last season, after tallying a record 376 AFL appearances during his decorated 19-year career.

he does join the club, Mundy appears unlikely at this stage to pull on the boots but they did convince fellow ex-Docker Chris Mayne, who’s now retired to coach PSA school Trinity College, to do so last season.
Four more of German’s former premiership stars at the Lions - Brownlow medallist Matt Priddis, legendary defender Darren Rumble, four-time Bernie Naylor Medal-winner Brad Smith and dual Sandover medallist Allistair Pickett - have joined his coaching staff for 2023.
Priddis will be the stoppages coach, Rumble will take charge of the defence, Smith the forwards and Pickett the small forwards.
German’s coaching stint at Corowa-Rutherglen in the Ovens and Murray league has helped him land Cody Howard and Jy Lane, while forward Kaelan Bradtke will follow suit if he’s unsuccessful in his train-on stint with Richmond 

Bradtke, 21, booted 39 majors in the strong Victorian/New South Wales border competition last season before featuring twice for Sydney’s VFL side and earning a draft combine invitation.
Perth are also in the mix to land local products, former Richmond defender Sydney Stack and ex-Geelong midfielder Quinton Narkle, should they not receive a pre-season AFL lifeline.

Like Bradtke, Narkle has begun training at Richmond in the hope of earning a rookie spot ahead of the February 15 pre-season supplemental selection period (SSP) deadline.
Stack, who has trained with the Demons over the pre-season, has attracted the interest of St Kilda and could train there in the New Year, but nothing has been locked in yet.
Among the confirmed signings for Perth are former Peel Thunder defender James Ewing, ex-East Fremantle forward Zach Jackson, West Perth pair Trent Manzone and Lochie Paton, East Perth twins Cooper and Harley Sparks and prolific Victorian midfielder Charlie Thompson who was coached by German at Coburg in the VFL.
German, a two-time premiership coach at Subiaco, signed a three-year coaching deal at Perth in September, replacing Garry Moss who parted ways with the club late last season.

Stiffy and McCuddle must have been embarrassed by Ch10's Lachy Reid's good story on Ten news recently posted here by Satan. Just rehashing old news. Lazy journalism from the newspaper who is owned by the network that has exclusive AFL and WAFL rights. 

Why don't they get off their arse and go and see the coaching staff in action. If they'd gone their last night they would have seen 4x Bernie Naylor medalist Brad Smith, 2006 Premiership hero Steven Armstrong and 2x Sandover Medalist Ali Picket taking the boys through skills and running drills. Maybe it was a little too warm for the boys from The West.

DD. Were they training last night? If so impressive. I believe we started two weeks before some clubs and if we are training Christmas week we are making a statement. 

Yep, the boys that were there last night were really putting in the hard yards. Chapman Jones led the way.

What’s the info on CJ DD? I see he didn’t play after round 7 last year. Injury?

Chapman Jones? Personal reasons, I believe he lost someone very close to him. It's a credit to him he's come back and working his backside off.

Any sign of Quill. He disappeared early last year as well.
