I heard that before the reserves game there were some supporters handing out flyers for a Perth Facebook group and words may have been exchanged. Not sure what the group is called though.
Led by ex president Damian Mathews. I just noticed membership has jumped from 2268 last time I looked on the weekend to 2347. That’s just bullshit. Season over long ago why would anyone buy a membership?  Hopefully they don’t have voting rights. Sounds like some grubby branch stacking going on by the tin foil hat party.
Or is it branch stacking by Eagles sympathizers?

I would suggest that the motive of other club supporters apart from WCE is to support the fight against Perth aligning in any form with WC. We all hate the idea of alignments as it compromises the comp. As to buying a Perth membership, if you do so your entitled to all the privileges that go with a full Perth membership which include the right to vote, I assume you would need to change your constitution re voting to prevent new members from voting.

The cheapest level of memberships in 2021 was the Junior level (u/16) cost $25 - no voting rights.
The next level was Country cost $80 - with voting rights.
All other levels cost up to $360 for family all with voting rights.
During the season several other memberships were offered with free admissions at concessional rates eg with 4 home games to play this level cost $40 presumably with no voting rights
My question is... What have all these new members paid for memberships? Has a new level been introduced  and what was the cost? Were voting rights included?
The way I view it, no new level memberships post season should be offered and certainly not including voting rights.
Only 2022 memberships should be available.

An unintended consequence of the new members will be that you're even more flush with funds to recruit, isn't that a good thing!

That's a moot point Grump. It depends what they paid for these memberships.
I would estimate the spike has invoved about 200-300 memberships. At $80 a piece, say, 200 @ $80 is $16,000.
At $20 it would only be $4,000.
Every dollar is important, but at what expense ??

The cost is the unintended consequence but it happens in the business world with share transaction allowing blocks of voters to sway outcomes. It will be a sorry outcome if they get their way!

What business is it of supporters of other WAFL clubs SS? Unless it is for fear Perth might get in the way of another $ubiaco premiership? Same old story with supporters of the strongest clubs. Yeh I'd love to see Perth up there making up the numbers in the top 5 but not too strong.

Geez DD take a chill pill, I was making the point that if supporters of other clubs buy PFC memberships it's likely because they want to support the PFC members to oppose alignment.

Well unless you can’t read how many times does it have to be said, THERE WILL NOT BE ANY ALIGNMENTS. I’m sure you wouldn’t have wanted opposition supporters buying Subiaco memberships if it was put to a vote whether or not you have exclusive rights to 500 seats at Subiaco Oval for 30 years.

Do you assume most Perth supporters are against accomodating 5 or 6 Eagles players who will at the very least make us more competitive and possibly a contender? Mind your own fucking business.
