I thought it was a fair enough question from Mr ALF about what the ground announcer said.

Well I can’t help you with that one I didn’t hear it but I did see him running through the can bar with a microphone in his hand just prior to that.

I would like oppo supporters to be able to stand where they like except the Presidents lounge.
Victorians still laugh at West Aussies because of the way we bailed out the vfl and then allowed it to be called it the AFL!

Can you give me examples where that happens where supporters from both sides just mix together and away supporters can go where they like? Something semi professional or professional club v club.

Have you been to a Perth Glory game? Sections are specifically marked Away Supporters only. Melbourne Victory and Sydney supporters all intermingling? Don’t make me laugh.

Subi home games at Leederville. Opposition supporters can come into the social premises and buy a beer, take up a spot in the bar area, sit in our side of the grandstand...go anywhere they like. Not many choose to do so but they can if they want to.

Even in the outer there's still a bit of feeling in it, at freo a few weeks ago a couple of blokes were at each other, someone would have definitely copped a smack in the mouth if the age difference wasn't so big

That has changed then BC because I remember being told this is Subiaco supporters only in the grandstand. Maybe it was one side only. But as you say, not many do, why? Because most people have a bit of common decency and respect for others home ground. There are plenty of place to get a good viewing spot at Leederville, I generally go underneath the grandstand or in the East Perth seating area. Vice versa when we are playing East Perth.

The issue I have at Lathlain is right in front of what is called the presidents lounge where the president and other club officials, past players and I think Rovers members can sit there. Also sponsors etc... It has ALWAYS been the domain just below that of Perth members and supporters contrary to what the Perth president and GM thinks and "some" opposition supporters think. The problem has been created since the away team and umpires tunnel made out of cyclone fencing was removed a fair while ago (guessing around 10 years ago) and in particular since the WCE moved in. The away team bench used to be much further south although I think the interchange has always been either side of the centre.  And obviously the old shelter stand (like at leederville on the northern side of the Subiaco members area) with seating on the southern side of the grandstand that a lot of opposition supporters used to occupy and i sued to enjoy sitting there sometimes.

Exactly, if these dickheads want to go down this route it's only a matter of time before there is biffo then they will be acting like Constable Care running around like pretend detectives trying to find out who started it. FFS.

I don't want a WP scenario. Everyone hates it there. On reflection though SF don't let you go into there members but of course can go into the bar. Maybe a small area should be allocated on the Wing when the new digs are built because the Presidents area is not really for the die hard supporters. Whatever they do they must bring the supporter closer to the boundary line. There is 15 meters of wasted space in front to the Presidents lounge and even the Can bar should be 5 meters closer to the playing field. Must keep something like the can bar though where everyones welcome. Home and away supporters.

Soccer supporters just plain weird for mine.

Yes I hear what you're saying DD. On the odd occasion an opposition supporter will sit in the stand on the side closest to the Subi social premises in full club colours and sometimes be quite vocal. I know I've thought to myself that person(s) could sit anywhere they like so why plonk themselves down amongst the Subi faithful unless they're trying to shit stir. I also tend not to sit amongst the opposition at away games for that very reason. As you say a bit of decency and common sense should prevail.
