Neither side should take much away from this game, Subi were playing what was pretty much a reserves team, so any other result than what they achieved would have been questioned. Perth absolutely hit the wall after a couple of very brave efforts. You can't expect to be competitive with 3/4 of your top players out, while Subi are just about at full strength, with only Walters, Powell and Borchet to come back from injury.

Still plenty for Perth to look forward to if they can get those players back as soon as possible.

I think your all getting carried away, they kicked 1 goal in a whole half against Swans a couple of weeks ago and last night they bullied a virtual reserves side.
As a matter of interest how many games do you think Subi will lose for the rest of the home and away season?

Apologies to Perth supporters for being off topic but in response to 42 I'd just like to remind people that Souths smashed Subi for 3 qtrs before we made it look a bit more respectable in the last. We won by a last minute goal against WP and struggled to get over Swans. So I think we'll lose quite a few to be honest.

Smokey, I would think it's unlikely that the Lathlain surface has caused these injuries. It's just sheer bad luck, and plenty of it. McInnes is a pec, which he got in a tackle. Masten was a corky, followed by illness. Busher has a history of hip issues. Langalnds was injured at Joondalup, Sinclair (I think) at EF and Grey at Claremont. But obviously I don't know why we are having such a wretched run, hopefully, it's just an unusually bad run which will turn around after the bye.
Your co-tenant WCE have a similar injury list too TN.
I believe SD were pretty leg sore after playing there in Rd2 as well.

WCE have a history of stuffing up ground surfaces when they dumped a whole heap of sand on Leederville to replicate the MCG. The surface has never quite recovered so it wouldn't surprise me if they've done something counterproductive to Lathlain.

I would have thrown Avery into the midfield.
Hes a good build with a long kick.
Sokol was having one of those nights  out, wouldn’t have mattered who played on him
Might not have been so good had the midfield had some opposition.
But sadly they are mostly out injured.

I previously commented on the extraordinary injury list we have…currently 14.
WCE have 8. There must surely be a correlation between the total number of injuries and the ground.
There must be a reason other than bad luck. IMO Perth should be in discussion with WCE and their respective medicos on the matter. It can’t just all be coincidence.

Try 14 last night before the game.
Another 2 last night makes 16.

DF, of the 16 injuries how many could be linked to a dodgy playing surface?

I thought it was a nice touch of Subi, with a minute or so to go, to at least let you score 1 goal for the game.
