Find it hard to believe Langer will leave Australian duties to take over straight away.

He may apply for the job from next season on but wouldn't think he would come now.

The WACA is a shambles right now so wouldn't surprise me to see them let Geoff Marsh coach while his two sons are in the squad.
When is this runaway train going to be brought back under control?????

Anchor who else is there??

Its a poison challis at the moment. If you came in now you have no hope of putting your stamp on this group. You are better off waiting till next year coming in, cleaning it out of those you don't want and starting fresh.

My hope is that whoever does it sets a long term goal of promoting from grade cricket and no longer recruiting from interstate to fill supposed gaps. We are crap anyway at least be crap with homegrown boys.

WA won toss and batting first at MCG in one day game.

Hilton Cartwright will be making his debut in the game

Hilton Cartwright
Australia

Full name Hilton Cartwright

Born date unknown

Major teams Western Australia Under-17s, Western Australia Under-23s

Batting style Right-hand bat

Bowling style Right-arm medium

TBH Cardy, Langer is hardly a 'new brush'.

Its starting to look like Langer has got the job.

Knock me down with a feather. Is he too close to the problem or not?

A lot of interviews are carried out on SPORTS BREAKFAST on 91.3.
I have a feeling Clarkey and Jack do a bit of research in the interviews as they always ask good questions. It is between 6-9 am. Most of the interviews are repeated during the day and put on the Podcast section so worth having a look each day to see who they have interviewed. Lots of WAFL during the season.

I hope the WA hierarchy don't think Langer is going to solve all the problems of WA cricket. He may bring some more discipline to the Warriors squad, but there are lots of deep seated problems that need addressing and hopefully this enquiry that the WACA are doing will uncover some systemic issues like the total dysfunction between district and state cricket which was highlighted by the recent Liam Davis issue. Also where have all the local fast bowlers gone? We have imported so many in the last 15 years
