It's all about the money, being rewarded big dollars for sub standard performances. No difference to AFL etc, there should be more performance based contracts and you would see a hell of alot more effort shown.

Look at the side that played last night and won. Menni,Gibbs,Katich,Ronchi and Collingwood, none of them play for the Warriors. This is franchise cricket.
But all that aside, West Australian cricket should be looked at from head to toe.
Where are the quicks and swing bowlers(Lillee,Massie,Hore,Gorringe,Gaunt,Slater etc) we used to develop, where are the dogged batsmen we used to turn out in big numbers.Where are the batsmen who hated to give away their wickets(Laird, Charlesworth, Edwards etc).
A very sad situation for cricket here in the West right now.

Yeah, forgot about that anchor. Still, I'm worried about their application....the Marsh boys are a bit of a worry. Pommers, Marsh (2)....any more bad seeds in the pod?

Yes the Marsh boys were dropped for disciplinary reasons.. Shaun is a waste of time as he couldnt perform at the top level and dropped to the WA team and hasnt really done anything of substance. Ha it must be the name..
Maybe the 2 of them should pull their heads in and not live in their dads shadow.
Time to move on and put guys in the WA side who at least have a go and do it for the state instead of having their HEADS UP THERE ARSES

Make no mistake Cardy the Marsh boys will go into the meeting get a rap on the knuckles be told to clean up their act and that will be it.

A public announcement will be made to the effect that the boys are on their last chances and lets move on. Western Australian cricket is the Peel Thunder (no disrespect to Peel thunder as they are a far better unit than our cricket team) of the domestic competitions.

Maybe the Marsh boys have done WA cricket a favour. Finally, everyone is being scrutinised and that's a good thing. Perhaps we can get rid of the 'purple circle', favouritism, nepotism and general crap that has held us back for so many years. Perhaps we can get a BOD that have WA cricket at heart and not have personal agendas.

It's a shame Micky Arthur had to leave, he had WA cricket going in the right direction. This whole fiasco sums up WA cricket at the moment, with the whole feud between state and district cricket which has become apparent through the Liam Davis incident.

North giving up the captaincy is a good thing in my opinion. Maybe he can improve his batting performances now.

I noticed the story of South African captain Graeme Smith apparently is interested in playing cricket in Perth. One would assume he would be considered for the Warriors captaincy. Former WA cricketer Kim Hughes urged the WACA to scour world cricket for a senior coach and seek a captain who could help fill the State's leadership vacuum. Apparently the current coach has a one year contract which is not ideal. There needs to be some solid base on which to work from I feel.
