I took a short drive down to Sutherlands park this arvo after a rain break and saw Travis Birt take the helpless Gosnells attack to the cleaners, my question is why isnt he in the sheild side? He hit a couple of good 50`s early last year but seems he has been pigeon holed as a short form specialist

If so is that going forward or backwards?to recruit one of these guys,both well into their 30's.
A one off getting Simon Katich back to Captain the Warriors for he rest of this season i can understand [because there is no one in the current squad]but recruiting nearly finished players from interstate isnt going forward.
Big problems ahead [and behind] for the Warriors,a big clean out is needed,from top to bottom.

i would like to see D.Hussey come back and capt the Warriors, i think he still has a few seasons left in him and he has a bit of mongrel in him which we sadly lack at the moment.

Good to see another young fella given a chance in the 50 overs game vs Vic wednesday,Hilton Cartwright,being doing well in grade and 2nd eleven WA side,all rounder by the looks.Hope he goes well.

Bit of news Lachlan Steven has resigned as WA Coach. Langer looks like favourite to take over. I think the players should take some of the blame but maybe a new brush will sweep clean?
