totally agree with you SD.....Langer is too pally with most of these oldies in WA team, if Steve Waugh made himself available Langer would snap him up in a heartbeat....time to show your true hardness JL and cull the hasbeens....pick some youngsters who aren't in it for the money and are desperate for playing for WA!!....

in fairness to Langer the rules of the comp are he can only pick from the squad which was selected before he got here, the 3 replacement players he picked are Cartwright, Stoinis and Thomas who is an import but hasnt played yet.

Stoinis is playing club cricket in Melbourne as the rocket scientists in WA cricket cut him from the squad..
playing 2nd eleven for Victoria so he cant be too bad considering their 3rd eleven would beat WA

Anchor we all understand what the Scorchers are, I think you will find we are all talking about WA cricket in general and the Scorchers results just add to the toll.

so what are you trying to say Anchorman - you want the Scorchers to be made up of 16 blokes who are born and raised in WA and also playing club cricket here ?

It is not a Western Australian side.Gibbs and Mennie and Stoines are imports for this franchise type of cricket.Hogg has come out of retirement to play this form of the game.But he has done well,he has represented Australia as a 20/29 player.
I know WA cricket is in dire straights ,but this is not a truly representative West Australian side.This is the Scorchers franchise.Not the Western Warriors.
Look at the imports in all side,the Scorchers have just not imported the right players.Gibbs I am sure is just using this as a party time.
Big Bash,IPL any other form of this game are franchises.

Your clutching at straws mate! We are talking about WA cricket and last time i checked the Scorchers were the Western Australian franchise
