Got to give Subiaco and Handy Randy plus his cohort of WAFL commissioners their due - as soon as it wasn't fair and Subiaco couldn't win the flag they got the rules changed. Great big Subiaco sook from Sookfield about what Peel got, imagine the great big cry if he was tasked with coaching Perth for example.

Don't hold your breath - his obsession has got him to the point where he can't distinguish between full time, professional athletes (ie Peel + Dockers), and part time athletes in the rest of the WAFL. Some of whom are motivated to train harder than their counterparts in other WAFL teams.

Have a read of Schofield crying like a stick pig.

After the two peel flags why didn’t subi just train harder instead of bitch and moan and get the rules changed??

BC, SS, Jack, DG ( v quiet) Ark, Freez , Baseline... over to you.

Unbelievable the hypocrisy.

My sa mates said to me they can't remember any of this fuss when centrals were dominating. They agreed that is because sa folk aren't whinging sooks. True story

That had a lot to do with the fact most people in SANFL were glad Port Adelaide were no longer dominating. WANFL hasnt really had long periods of the one club so dominant over the rest, yes EFFC were a highly successful club but it was more intermittent mixed with other clubs being competitive.

If you look at the peak era of WANFL/WAFL 50-80 there was good mix of success.
SFFC had a period late 40s to late 50s. mixed with WPFC, EFFC and Perth.

Did Central Districts have a massive financial advantage over the rest of the competition? Maybe they just got a bit lucky with a rich era of local talent and had a great coach at the time? Did they win premierships regardless of who coached them? Subiaco has had 4 different premiership coaches in the last 15 years, Peter German, Scott Watters, Jarred Schofield and now Beau "who" Warderman.

The only way to stop Subiaco dominating the competition is to restrict their ability to recruit and the WAFC can do that through the points system. Restrict them to 100 points for the next 5 years then reassess it after that. If that means they have to cut one or two of their recruits for the 2020 season so be it.

These flogs who say we can't drag Subiaco down we need to get more clubs up to their level are living in dreamland. Unless Gavin you can find 3 million to hand out to the other 7 stand alone WAFL clubs. Unless that happens it is impossible to compete with Subiaco.
Get on your bike.

Well said, DD. Sadly, I don't think anything is going to be done. It is remarkable how quickly Taylor resiled from his pledge after the GF to address Subi's dominance. Now he is going with the "raise the standard" mantra. That obviously suits the WAFC agenda because it absolves them of responsibility and, more importantly, relieves them from spending money. Much easier to, as Subi have done, blame other clubs for not training or trying hard enough, and being poorly managed. Insulting, but convenient.

Seriously guys what good would reducing Subis points cap across the squad to 100 points do as they would find a way to drop players off the squad each week as they have done previously?
They used 76 points alone between the 22 who took the field last week in the GF.
It should be a points cap based on the actual game per week capped at say 40 per game (SF used 37 in the GF).
Subi had the likes of Newton, Marsh, Powell, Litherland (all 10 point players) that would have filled the cap between them if we had a per game points cap.
