Whilst poorly supported teams like SU & CL are continually playing in GF's across the grades year after year you could hold it at Gosnells Oval comfortably but if or when the big supported clubs (SD, EP, Perth etc) actually make it to a GF against each other then Perth Stadium is the only option!

Haha, your on drugs mate Colts lmao , the only reason an extra 5k or so fronted was the new stadium factor, they actually promoted it as that as well, as b c rightly stated.
Btw there was sfa promotion this year.
The only reason it's an option now it because there's bugger all else, actually when you think we quite often got over 20k in Fremantle oval and Leederville , back in the glory days , the modern wafl might gf is a joke.

And I have no idea what makes you think EP is a big supported club their attendances are crap, Perth had it's best season in years and there was a slight up tick, not exactly a tidal wave of thousands, and in any case the chance of any of those clubs making a gf any time in the foreseeable future is about as likely as me winning Powerball

The Colts is actually a far better standard and much more even than League footy these days hence I would much rather watch that than the joke that is the WAFL of today!

6IX were into Swans , 6PR with South , 6PM had something with East Perth

You must be smoking Willie's stash if you think SD, PE & EP do not have massive supporter bases!

Southerner wrote: one factor is a very good number of staunchers are no longer with us and another is that many of the early businesses that supported clubs aren't in existence
a lot of old money isn't there via either memberships , sponsorship or even attendance
I'd be highly surprised if any meaningful airtime was belatedly granted to go up against the Vicco hamburger , fries & trademarked Cola

Couldn't agree more , father time is taking it's toll, and as everyone knows members are dieing at a fierce rate, these people once brought a family a few mates etc.. once they go it's over. Have a look at this board is a good sample of wafl people and everyone person is what I call a legacy fan, in other words remnant fans from when wafl was the only show in town,,,you would battle to find 6 people who got into wafl in say 2001 and rave about the memories of the good old days of empty grounds and shit games.

the people are still out there it's just that the mandatory Hamburger Box & Lounge has been served pretty easily
especially since the emergence of the outrageous rights deals coin

and now there's suddenly 18 million available for country vicco leagues

wonder what sort of boost 18 Mil could inject into this comp

Where have you been Bazza.
On Mars?
Perth make a Grand Final you get the best crowd at a GF for 20 odd years.
Optus would be full of red and black.
"Build it" the DEES will come.
It's not the size of the dog in the fight. It's the size of the fight in the dog.
Winning isn't everything. It's the ONLY THING !!!!!!
I shot the fukin sherriff!!!!

East Perth will be beating Subiaco within that three years barring disaster. I’m of the opinion they will come back to the pack to a degree. Perhaps a one off payment to the non aligned sides excluding EP and Subi. And hopefully the new zone review will level out the numbers of 16-18 year olds in each zone. Am I right Claremont and Swans have the most kids in this age group by miles ?
