No worries, I’ll go one better. I call on the other 7 stand alone WAFL clubs to go on strike. Every season is a waste of time anyway as far as any of the other 7 traditional WAFL clubs winning a flag so why bother? Let’s just call off the 2020 season now.

the amazing thing is that they have had an 'equalisation policy' since they introduced the zones in 1970, and yet, since the advent of the Eagles and Subi's advantage they have done nothing.

With muppets like Kermit Taylor, Gonzo Randall, Fozzie Bear Dorrington, Miss Piggy Edwards, Animal McHenry, Scooter Love et al running the show expect nothing to be done about equalising the comp for the 30th year in a row except to have SD & Perth's zone further reduced and Subi's increased despite them being the least successful clubs in that time!

It’s just a charade

Exactly Baz, they’ve been saying Subi will level out and the rest of the competition will catch up for the past 5 to 10 years then after a grand final obliteration Captain of The Muppets at Muppet Headquarters says “we think Subi’s reign will will only last a few more years”.

So let’s just relax fellas, nothing to worry about. Let’s just go through the motions for another few years and hope in that time Subiaco haven’t found another way to dominate for another decade. Oh hang on, their president said they have no plans of slowing down, they want to get better.

Maybe, just maybe Gavin you better get off the sauce and sober up mate.

All these out of zone players don't play for good money for other clubs.
But play for Subi for the love of the game.

Taylor came out this morning and said that equalisation was a priority.
Yeah right will believe it when I see it.
Subi come out and say they will continue to cheat.

Our out of zone players are walk ins.
That can't get a game elsewhere.
Luckily we have picked up few decent ones in recent times.

I'm no expert, but lets say Subi had 12 local players in yesterdays team. So, lets see how that compares with another team mate. Try Perth's team in the last round as a random choice. Is it going t be much different?

After doing fa for 50 years Centrals made the gf in 95 and 96 with no success then cracked it again every year from 2000 to 2011 inclusive with flags coming in all years except 02 06 and 11. They also won every 2nd semi from 2000 to 2011 inclusive. 40k for their gf yesterday I hear.

Did not Centrals merge with Woodville West Torrens before winning all those flags??

Correct

Hawk Eye wrote: The existing WAFL Club model is dead in the water. The majority of the members/supporters are now well over 50 years of age and there is simply no interest from the younger generation.

The question should be "How can the model be changed so that clubs will represent the current generation as well as the older generations going forward"

With attendances for a number of H&A games less than 1000 people, what attraction can the WAFL possibly have to major sponsors?

In my opinion the dominance of Subiaco is the least of the problems with the competition. Encouraging sponsorship and TV rights is absolutely essential.

Perhaps realigning some of the WAFL clubs with our major Tertiary institutions would help. At least you would have an existing Alumni in excess of 100,000 people who would have a reason to maintain an interest!

All the TV coverage talks about is AFL.
