Dwert wrote: Player Development Managers essentially run the Development programs for the WAFL clubs resourced by the WAFC...

My last word on this raping of the WAFL ...Change is in the wind and imminent , for my own sanity time to move and embrace the almighty WAFC and their merry men and women. I will watch with great the impending developments.

Vale the WAFL ....,I just hope that all the traditional clubs survive and we are here 30 years down the track talking about our great competition known as WAFL.

Dwert if the recommendations go through I reckon the WAFL will struggle to be around in 2020.

Agree supporting a WAAFL club. Doesn't sound the same somehow.

Let Gavin Taylor and his merry men have a crack and see how they go. Tugboat will be in trenches with them no doubt.
As I said in my previous post change is imminent, for my own sanity time to leave that up to the powers at my WAFL club to pick up the pieces and make best of what they can.
I will keep supporting my Bulldogs for as long as I can although not sure for how long..,

And you're certainly a great ambassador for the WAAFL....trouble is, you make your hatred for the WAFL a little too obvious

Do you think that he actually supports a WAFL club?

42.....pretty sure tugboat is a supporter of WA footy as a whole mate...you talk about your "player first" reservations in the Colts set up....I reckon your "WAFL first" belief is just as concerning....are you a supporter of footy as a whole in the WA community..or just a fan of one league in the WA footy landscape......are the WAFL fans needs any greater than the WAAFL,SWFL,GNFL fans needs?....

I suggest you check a question you asked me earlier and that is your answer.

Supporter my Arse,Freeze. He is just a Shitstirring Peabrain with nothing better to do than to pull the Wings of a Football Butterfly.

We never said the needs of other Leagues aren't important. But then, these Leagues you mention aren't the ones under the pump, from a whole range of know stuff all bureaucratic Idiots who have done their Worst to Stuff our National Game!

You mean those little insignificant leagues I have been volunteering in for the past 20 years, you never said they were important either grassy.....

Reformed not ripped apart, this isn't 1920, the football world has changed significantly. All tiers should benefit from the success of the AFL, its the only way our game will continue to thrive into the future.

Unholytugboat wrote: Its not gloating Swan, its just very apparent that some of the WAFL diehards here have a very limited knowledge of WA Football outside of the WAFL, I am only giving you honest facts.

I think I have been very respectful in some of my responses, take for instance your last post and getting mixed up as to who is responsible for development that you say is so poor. I could have gone to town on you, instead I gave you the facts, explained how it works, you know now.

Don't worry I am not waiting for a thank you.

The WAFL Junior councils were scrapped, according to Tom Bottrell about 10-12 years ago. That means that the WAFC has the control of that development from the very first year of the juniors' footy. That is where the players get the fundamentals. That is true in footy and it is true in every sport. Without the fundamentals and the techniques there is a limit to how well those skills will be developed.

All you have quoted is a perception that again SURPRISE, SURPRISE fits the conclusion wanted. By the way it was not me that said that the player development was poor; find a mirror.

You also might attend a few WAFL games in the next year or two because by the end of 2020 there won't be a WAFL to attend.

How is the VFA going in terms of the benefit from the success of the AFL?

Ditto the Tassie footy competitions?

The WAFL will go the same way.
