...And everyone is not missing very much by not watching free to air tv. The standard & quality of programming is still down there in the gutter!

Not sure why a South Australian is being asked for thoughts on the Wafl?

Going to be interesting hearing said tv station response to this question?

Were any Wafl players interviewed on said topic? If not, why not? Someone that has no connection with the Wafl is interviewed, and yet a Wafl player is not!!?
How does that work? Was a club official or player from one of the 7 Wafl clubs interviewed also? If the answer is no, said tv station has questions to answer!

This Boston Report sounds more & more like fill material for a business case.

And there's a warm chance that case has been requested by the Eastern States Mafioso for a dollar bag

And an eighteen week qualifying round is another change for the 2018 season too.

One needs to be asking the question of why a private separate entity with NO Wafl experience is allowed to deliberate on the Wafl?

Is this the final season of the current commercial Wafl telecaster?
If so, hoping we get a decent tv coverage from next season.

Old Swan off having a sook, comes out of "exile" and then heads off to sook again.

As for the changes suggested, cant see anything there really dramatic in terms of the league comp.

BC is right about the reserves.

As for the Womens idea, the game is crap and has zero interest to me, easy one for me I just wont be getting to games early. But maybe it might get more in than the reserves.

These sort of tinkerings are not what the WAFL needs for real sustainability.

Yeah its the third season so its up for re negotiation end of year, Maccas are finished as well so a new sponsor will be needed.

Any clues who will take it up?

It is sad to see interest in and attendances at the WAFL waning.
Action is needed to reinvigorate the "product". I think that every one who has an interest in the WAFL should be promoting it (ie the whole comp), joining a WAFL club and getting along to the games. We all need to be part of the solution and not just be sitting around complaining about the demise of a great competition.
Make no mistake about the growth in Women's football and the genuine excitement around it ... if that is a way to find a new generation of WAFL fans then it has to be looked at.
I'm not saying it should be a curtain raiser in the place of WAFL Reserves but here is a growing group of people who might help to grow the WAFL as well.
How about this weekend we all go to the WAFL, take 2 mates and buy them each a beer at the game? Small step for sure but let's do something!
