And on top of that people at the top of the food chain demanding a TAC Cup if the zones aren't balanced.

Yes, by all means, lets not balance the zones.

Lets make things right for Swans and Mark Olsen and in doing so, lets kick the colts comp into the gutter.

This is a joke from Swans people here isn't it? No supporters can be that selfish surely?

I guess they can

WAFL powerhouse Subiaco and cash-strapped East Fremantle are the big winners from the latest review of the league's zone boundaries in an outcome that has angered several rivals.

The Lions, who have won four of the past six WAFL premierships, have added 10 suburbs to their recruiting area at the expense of East Perth and West Perth under changes unveiled by the WA Football Commission.

Koondoola, Mirrabooka and Marangaroo were among suburbs switched from East Perth's zone to Subiaco, while the Falcons were forced to give up Wangara, Pearsall, Gnangara and Hocking.

East Fremantle also gained a sizeable recruiting patch from South Fremantle and Perth, picking up 10 suburbs on top of parts of Fremantle and Champion Lakes.

So Subiacos zone was actually worse before the last review and obviously they didn't go far enough then to make the situation fair and equitable. Ignore the league teams success and fix this properly WAFL !

Explains somewhat you are saying La Hincha

I guess numbers mean nothing even when they do come directly from the WAFC

Hinch you might want to just take a glance at a post from Chaddy22 above you here - I noticed you mentioned Bias or something to that effect perceived or not mate

We've ceded a fair bit of ground over the past few years & it is confirmed that Perth have too after all is said & done

Touching on that word bias , a heap of football people put up lots of coin in the early 80's to save Subiaco FC's bacon - so I can't accept at all we are all biased against your club

Once again, this is not about league football. I've already admitted Subi has an unfair advantage there. Lets fix it, yes. And its about to be anyway.

This is about colts football. Seperate. Lets fix that too

The numbers from the WAFC are right in front of you. Why deny them

But this is where you may not be seeing the equalisation effect Hinch - because of this unfair advantage you are receiving less areas to allow competitiveness
Is that understandable mate?

Yes I understand the need to bring clubs down and bring others up but this is not the way to do it.

Change the rules of the league comp mate. Buggering a colts comp to equalize a buggered league comp isn't right. Two wrongs dont make a right.

Moreover, The big wigs want a TAC because the colts comp isn;t even. I've tried to make that point to you guys over and over because I want the colts to remain. But you either think I'm joking or you don't care about the colts.

But you guys keep insisting this is about the league comp. It's not but....

I've suggested that the bottom two sides should be compensated and that was ignored. 2 free VFL recruits at the expense of the WAFC. I'd take it any day.

I've suggested that players aged 22 or above who don't play 6 leagues in a season can go elsewhere free of charge. That was ignored also.

Maybe make a 14/8 rule at league level? 14 Guys that didn't play colts/ressies/league at another WAFL club.

Of course we care about our juniors Hinch Christ we have a bunch of dedicated volunteers & staff putting in tremendous work amounts & yes we are taking notice of your posts otherwise there would just be your initial message on the board mate.

As for the TAC stuff - well I'll be frank buddy , where is the coin going to come from to run that caper , because the WAFC is skint that's why we get less & less grants every year , shit we even have a levy to pay for the bloody telly shit so relax a little hey

I didn't ask em where the money was coming from because my jaw dropped and I couldn't speak.

But even though we are on a different wavelength, I count my lucky stars that I've been lucky enough to see some great players.

Ted Wishart who helps me do the ressies votes reckons the 1970's and the 1980's were the peak of footy and he should know because he saw John Coleman play against West Perth. Hes that old.

I was lucky enough to see Keith Watt. Didn't play many games but perfectly balanced, highly skilled, elusive and brilliant. He played against Leigh Matthews in the 1971 State game and held his own.

But it wasn't just Subi players. Anyone who knows me knows that I'm particularly unbiased.

Brian Peake's matches in the 1979 carnival were the best I've seen. Nobody could touch him. He was strong skillful and absolutely unwilling to let the vics get the better of his home state.

I count myself lucky to have seen Benny Vigona, Stephen Michael, Maurice Rioli and Basil Campbell play together. WA was at the forefront of indigenous intergration into football. To see Big Basil intimidate the Vics is an all time memory.

West Perth always had exciting players. Mel Whinnen, Ross Gibbs, Peter Menaglio, chris Stasinowsky, John Duckworth, The Bewick brothers. Explosive footballers who drew fans through the gates.

And then the Black and Whites. One of my favourites was the mercurial Ian Williams. Great skills, good around goals. I think injury might have cut him down in the VFL. I also saw the brilliant Bill Walker and Keith and Phil Narkle. Ron Boucher was intimidating. Brent Hutton was one of the best and most spectacular marks I've seen

What about Phil Kelly? Some say he shouldn't have won any Sandovers, let alone two. Yet, on his day, he was a matchwinner. Tallish but the standards of yesteryear for a wingman, he had an awkward kicking style but yet could excite.

Neil Taylor. One of the best players I've ever seen. A genius. Never played a state game because he played in a weak side. Amazing evasive skills and poise. He didn't run around opponents, he cruised around them at his own pace and what a moustache.

Perth had fine defenders. The unheralded Colin Lofts. John Quartermaine at full back. Jeff Dickinson, Brian Cook. Cable and Wiley of course. Bosustow up forward and for a brief time in the most purple patch of form....Doug Simms...on the left...goal after goal...and then they stopped

Maybe I'll continue this later. But I deserve a beer now

Great debate and discussion here......fantastic to read both sides of the coin.....be interesting to see what eventuates in the end LH......pretty sure most the area's EF picked from SF and Perth were non descript.....yeah up to EF to drive them, but one only has to see at the need for EF and SF to combine their individual age groups thru years 10 - 12 for kids to even play footy at a competitive level......obvious that things arent too great at grass roots level.....even worse it appears in some of those Subi zones you are referring to LH......can see your concern mate.
