I did throw up the idea of $ubi taking over the East Kimberley or Ongerup off of Claremont but got no response!

Surely the club didn't think they'd get to keep everything and get extra zones at the general expense of everyone else on top?
This is where the general distrust is generated from mate & surely a compromise could have been amicably reached that benefited all clubs in that process not just one

I guess its a bit like being a board member at a big company.

If you're seen to do anything but to give the biggest dividend to the stakeholder, you'll be considered incompetent.

Subi people, me included, have a "lets make up for those awful years" where we were poor, unsuccessful and considered a basket case. We've nearly made up for it I reckon? God knows they were some awful years when I was a kid.

Apparently it was just as bad in years before. Imagine Bernie Naylor kicking 23 goals against Subi on his own in one game.

That aside, I'm over all that. I just want to see an even colts comp that will satisfy all parties - including the academy people and the AFL scouts.

There are calls for massive colts changes but we can nip that in the bud with an even comp

As it stands, the stadium deal ends. Will Subi, with over 100 years of history and participation, even survive from this year on?

Worrying times. But I wish people would support me on this if they have the colts comp at heart

Well if it keeps going you'll be the only one playing in this comp - don't worry about colts then mate
Honestly the time has long passed for exclusive deals especially in this current climate & especially when it's generated from taxpayers of all denominations
Understand the Zone concerns entirely all clubs have concerns about it

Southerner that is true. It not simply about numbers either, it goes right down to the core of society itself, as you know, and is tied to socio-economic indicators. Claremont has the best zone, largely made up of famillies from old stock whom have played the game for decades; and, equally, from famillies whom have the financial means to play the game. Subiaco is fortunate in one sense with its zone, as it is a middle class area where money is less of an issue for parents. Good luck to the Tigers, by the way.

Subi's area is among the poorest in the WAFL mate. Visit Mirrabooka. Its a war zone

Odd that you say that. The Claremont people I have spoken to concede that maybe it is time to even up the metro zones.

But no, Swan Districts people disagree

Of course, Swans have the colts comp at heart.

Good luck following the Eastern Eagles TAC Cup team. Remember this thread and how you opposed the ideas

Yes that is correct AR, Paul Ramsay was another. Ross Gibbs came from Mirrabooka & Steve McEvoy was another from Nollamara.

Did you not see the areas I posted that we SD have lost to appease clubs like your beloved $ubi, EP & Peel? It is far greater than $ubi have ever lost so sorry if we are a little apathetic to a very rich clubs concerns!

Look just one thing mate - I don't think The Swans peeps oppose a better indicative spread nor would any reasonable supporter / club , it's more so that any losses are taken by those who are receiving assistance and haven't got the ultimate pathway which obviously is to play league footy - after all Colts don't stay colts forever obviously
Blatantly obvious that the Aligned sides need to be scrutinised and adjusted accordingly first , then adjust & meld other zones to reflect a balanced picture

Look Hinch - ultimately us common OzFooty mugs aren't going to have much influence , go back to 1986 when that lying scumbag Walker and his cohorts uttered the biggest single lie & orchestrated the biggest heist in WA footy history by conceiving the first interstate VFL side under the bullshit premise that he could stop the exodus of players from this state
Nowadays it is an annual slaughterhouse & butchers shop routine and somehow grassroots footy has been totally ignored to the extent where eventually there'll be not enough to go around given the outside influences to kids these days

A SD person has put forward a resolution to help $ubi (god forbid) whilst also taking away some of Claremont's perceived junior riches and that is the response I get!
