so you think winning by 22 goals is a good look for interstate footy do you SD? what was actually achieved? does that result promote the WAFL or does it reinforce the fact that the big 3 states are vastly superior to Tassie and the NEAFL which we knew already and confirm they shouldn't play each other? the only reason you've got a stiffie is because it was played at bogandean and you get the bar takings which I hope is spent on general maintenance going by what outerseagull said about the dunnies and vision last week of your game against Perth where pickets are falling off the boundary fence and the place looks in disarray. instead of spending time on here posting crap how about organizing a busy bee at the club.

How would you know anything about Bassendean Oval?? You haven't even got the guts to go there you weak pr1ck! And I was told today that its a WAFC game so takings on what was sold is split, which is a shame because $ubi shouldn't get 1 cent - only the G6 WAFL clubs should get any of it

and here's an excellent example mike of the type of supporter SD attracts. because I choose not to go to bogandean I get called a "weak prick". In my earlier I didn't resort to personal abuse and he also says I don't support the WAFL in another post. Well let me tell you I've been supporting Subi for over 50 years...during the years when they were a joke I was there, when they were on life support asking for donations I was there, when they won their first flag for 49 years in 1973, I was there...and guess what, I'm still here as a paid up member and passionate supporter. so I won't have some moron call me a weak prick and not a supporter of the WAFL when clearly that person is a first class dickhead with little class and even less brains...that's why people like me don't go to bogandean...because of the low life scum that think abusing others, using foul language in front of women and kids and getting pissed at the game is being a passionate supporter.

That's great to hear! Please don't come to Bassendean ever again!!

haven't you got a sweaty fat bloke to massage somewhere?

We can argue all we want, the facts are that the facilities are sub standard and responsible service of alcohol guidelines have been breached. I'm sure the proper authorities will be following this up.

BC I think we can all (myself included) be guilty of looking at our club through rose coloured glasses and for obvious reasons I cannot see Bassendean Oval through the eyes of a East Freo or Subi or West Perth supporter. However what I normally see on an average Saturday in the members area and in the outer can bar is Swans and opposition supporters interacting in generally friendly discussion. Sometimes it gets into chanting and banter sure but the vast majority of it is good natured.

I too have had the misfortune of sitting near the morons in the Mcdonald Stand for a little while and I agree that they are not pleasant to listen to but unfortunately unless they get physical or anti social towards someone security can't take any action. Mind you while I was there one of the guys who was swearing and yelling abuse actually went down to assist a disabled person who was walking up the stairs of the stand so they can't be all bad.

I have worked out the places to sit at the ground where I can just sit and watch the footy without having to listen to rubbish and I think unfortunately the behaviour you and others have come across is the work of a noisy minority of idiots. I honestly believe the vast majority of Swans supporters are decent people who are passionate about their football club just like you are about Subiaco.

TOGS..When the ground is redeveloped with the Apartment complex-ect,ect.The old 1950's toilet block behind the Black Swan Bar will defently be a part of the redevelopment. Remember the northern side of the ground is the already up to scratch with the Members,Mcdonald,Walker Stands. Some improvments will be made there also.

I went along to the state game with the wife, TOSG and the grand daughter, nice but bloody cold day on the outer wing, had a pleasant time but a bit disappointed in the crowd, I guess Tassie isn't a huge drawcard. The selected team did what they were supposed to do to great effect against pretty average opposition. Bolton was outstanding as were Johnson, Peake and there were many others who pretty much did what they pleased in what became a bit of a training run. Imagine if all the "unavailable" lads had played, WA would have won by 200 points!!

The already good outer bar was nicely enhanced thanks to the support of CUB, but my wife backed up what TOSG mentioned re the outer dunnies, they were disgraceful, doors missing or with no locks excreta wiped on the walls and doors and rubbish all over the floor and that was just in the Ladies section!! It cant be all that hard for whoever is responsible for the up-keep, I assume that's Basso Council, to make some sort of attempt to clean the ablutions, especially before an important event like a state game, they were a real health hazard, but that's the only downer for me on the day.

Great promo to make it a free day but maybe suggest next time it's a gold coin donation to go towards Beyond Blue & the breast cancer charities.

Given that more than double the crowd turned out at the home of football - Fremantle oval on foundation day in terrible conditions, its safe to say it would of pulled a far bigger crowd for the state game than Bassendean/

not a smart decision to play it there , Fremantle or Leederville are far more central to most people , offer far better post and pre game entertainment options and atmosphere. Most people don't want to drive to arse end of Midland , use excretia covered toilets and put up with aggro bogan drunks for a day out.

People voted with their feet and stayed away in droves.
