the odd thing about the whole fiasco is that the chunderdome surface is not that great either...now that would be something where the dockers refused to let their players play down there.

Well you would have to take that up with the WAFC after all their the ones that make the calls., the song and dance your making considering the club you support, Fart and Wart seriously your club is equally culpable in the decline and demise of the WAFL

They split up as Buddies.I thought they mended their fence, but it seems they aren't talking again.

A great pity really.

No idea, don't have anything to do with either of them. Just try to help Lindsey out when he gets into strife.

Toilets at Basso are now flushing which is a marked improvement in my books. A couple of seasons back I recall a floater making its way out of the ladies making a run for it down the players race. Clearly the floater belonged to one of the pride amongst the visitors that day becuz it had no smell  B) :woohoo:

Just a few comments about the actual game. Bolton was a worthy winner of the Simpson but Peake must have been close. 7 goals in any state game is a great performance. Would have been nice in a way for him to emulate his famous dad. Tassie also had no answer for Saunders who bullied their defenders all day. All the midfielders did their bit, an abundance of riches which overwhelmed the Tasmanians. Nelson, Kitchen, Van Berlo, Pickett, Kelly , Hams, Riggio, Neates, Black etc etc. They all contributed to the cause.
Darcy Cameron didn't have a huge involvement in the game but what he did do was pretty classy. He seems like a very versatile player and I reckon he would be a great mature age pick up for an AFL club. ( e.g. Freo)

And apparently the Tasmanian team was a lot bigger bodied than WA? The home team did really well coming out of the match with a total of 450 ball disposals. The visitors amassing 351 ball disposals for the match. WA ventured Inside the 50M arc 61 times, which seems like a high count. Probably would not achieve a high number of Inside 50M for a normal Wafl game?

I saw some footage of travis Cloke slogging it out in a mudpit playing for Collingwood in the VFL. Dear oh dear how did he survive? What would the dockers do, poor things.

Fancy a $ubi supporter having a crack at another clubs ground considering their own pigswill of a ground was deemed unfit for football only a week ago!!

there's a big difference between the surrounds of a ground looking like a New Delhi rubbish tip and the playing surface being deemed unacceptable by a bunch of fairies worried they'd break a nail...even more so when you consider leederville is shared by 2 WAFL clubs. the vision last Saturday on channel 7 of the outer at bogandean was cringeworthy and there's no way around that. it appears your club caters for beer swilling drunken bums but not families with young children

Have you ever even attended a game at Bassendean before BC? ...or is it just too far to travel that 10km across town from your leafy comfort zone where the other like your good self 65yo+ white collar silver types reside and it wouldnt be a good look for the social status to be seen out in those dreaded working class Eastern suburbs attending a lowly WAFL game with the 'riff raff' of society ..I mean what would your neighbours think and all that hey BC!

I've been to many games at bogandean but a few years back got indirectly caught up in an unsavioury incident where an innocent person was assaulted by one of your thug supporters and decided there and then not to return.

I can understand your angst. Some years ago, I took my young grandson to a game where Sharks easily beat Swans. As we were leaving a bloke decked out in his black and white unloaded on us "east fremantle fn cts". I had my EF shirt on, but my grandson had no footy gear - and he's a Swans support. Like you, I refuse to go there and put any money in their coffers since. Not all bad tho. I got out of their centre of excellence with my wheels still on my car!!!
