Yep south and east perth dominated the attendances that year....perth just got over WP to avoid the 2nd lowest.

Claremonts supporter base was massive right up to the late 80s, it s pretty tragic it has collapsed to the extent it has.

What you said,is what you said.So following on from that,I checked on our Attendance figures from 75 - 79 and the lowest one I believe was Round 15,1979.

A bit of biff that day went down well with the Wet weather.

No surprise the same team features in the first two lowest attended games in 79...

1943 for the Subi V Sooks farce at Subiaco oval, not bad considering all the circumstances and only 382 less than the big so called "Eastern Derby"

As someone who was there for the 18s how on earth can you have an exact crowd figure when a) it was free admission ..b) there was no one even at the gate to count!

I wouldn't agree with that bazza, I think we've always had a medium / small supporter base. Had a spike in the early 80s due to success after 40 years of mediocrity aside from the 64 flag. I think all wafl clubs support has collapsed to the same extent.

Mate Claremont pulled huge crowds when things were big time , even in 89 they were still doing well, theres no doubt in my mind that Claremont drop in attendances has been the biggest of all.
