Ben dont know if you have alternative motives for Subiaco oval being used
The Subi Bar must of made a million on the day.. WPFC Reserves had the Presidents bar until we were kicked out.. Your Function room was packed body to body.
You couldnt move in the place... $10 for a pint and a few thousand ltrs of beer would of been drunk amongst other things. How much did The Subiaco club make on the day in a Bar they shouldnt even have...
They lost the lease payments on the oval a couple of years ago so the WAFL/WAFC as comphensation for losing that when the Bar should of been given to all the WAFL clubs as and it should of been a WAFL bar with takings being split amongst the clubs.
The Subiaco Football club got a bonus they shouldnt of got only because they have members in the WAFC who wanted to look after them :(
Subiaco must be the richest club in the WAFL with the income they made from the Leasing of the oval and now the Bar.

They earn money far in excess of what any other club can make on bar and food sales because of this "ARRANGEMENT"

Sorry if your offended by this statement but I have posted on it before.
I would like just one reason why the SFC was given this bar when the WAFC had no obligation to make this sweetheart deal.
The bar and facilities are used by the AFL clubs as well for pre match functions etc where the money goes to the SFC..

As I have said the facilities should of been given to the WAFL Clubs as a revenue income not just Subi.

GF has to stay at Subiaco for now any way. If weather poor and game at any WAFL ground you could expect a crowd of 1500. Cover is not adequate for big crowds

Correct Cardy, there should have been some equalisation by now.
From a PFC perspective we turnover $2m.
Last time I saw figures, some years ago Subi turnover was $4.5m.
Their profit was about $300k so where does the money go, football department via sponsors to pay for players?
MMMMMMMMMMmmmmmmmmmmm that's equalisation isn't it???????
NOT!!!!!!!!!
It's not the size of the dog in the fight. It's the size of the fight in the dog.
Winning isn't everything. It's the ONLY THING !!!!!!
I shot the fukin sherriff!!!!

if Subi appoint the right coach and have a good run with injuries they should make the finals every year, they would have paid well over a 100k in transfer fees alone this year and good luck to them but they would have to do alot wrong not to be in the finals every year with the money they have available.

IMO you have to play the WAFL GF at the best and biggest stadium and if thats Subi then play it there or if its the new stadium so be it.
Forget Leedervile and the other suburban grounds.

Ask the players where they would like the GF,bet the majority say Subi.

Seat the crowd in the bottom decks dont open the top tiers,if its raining so what.
Whats the use of having the top 2 tiers of the 3 tier stand open, only open the bottom tier.
Get the crowd closer together by utilising the bottom tiers.

The wafl does have to do someting urgently to at least get the GF crowds back up between 20 and 25k.

For mine the day the GF is moved to a suburban ground is the day it losess its appeal.

30yd you cannot possibly be suggesting that people go to the GF and get wet because they are not allowed to get undercover in the second tier of the grandstands. Agree with you with respect to where the GF should be played.

Maybe we should play the GF in Adelaide. Would probably still pull a much bigger 'for the novelty of it all' crowd than here :S

The promotion of the WAFL by the WAFC is at best non existent in reality.

No thats not what i meant,of course the crowd should be able to retreat undercover if its raining.
I think they have to be smarter where they seat the crowd on GF day.
The day of the full stadium is gone but they can make it look better by utilising the area in the stands better.
It would make the atmosphere far better as well imo.

Loose its appeal...lol that has already happened in case you havent noticed.

And playing a highlight real with nothing but empty seats in the background at a so called marque day ( pure comedy ) just loses more appeal.

Move it to a more freindly and suitable venue and stop living in the past and thinking the event is something it is not.

Yeah lets have it at Rushton Park hey...beep the car horns every goal.

Living in the past???
I dont chuck the towel in as quickly as you do!

Of course something needs to be done like can the alignment that should be the WAFC number 1 priority.

What also needs to happen is some new blood playing off in the GF as Swans showed in 2010 attracting over 24k.
Sadly in between the low crowd numbers generally have 2 things in common, either Claremont or Subi or both were playing off in the GF.

This years crowd was piss poor and no doubt fans stayed away because of the alignment.

No need to move the GF just yet...thats hardly living in the past.
