That should be the LAST GF at Subi,,,it was farcical...spend a bit more of Leederville, bring facilities up to scratch and move it there,,the days of WAFL GFs at Subi are done and dusted,

I remember when the WAFL set a minimum target of 20,000 for gf day not that long ago in early 2000s,,,in just a decade it has collapsed to half that,

Pathetic it must be all over Now the commissioners can fly to Melbourne for the AFL GF most probably in a box... (nah dont say it)

Went on the WAFL ONLINE to have a look at the stats for the reserves etc and the box called GAMEDAY which had them has gone..???? Cant seem to find any stats from the finals games?
Maybe I am looking in the wrong place.

I did notice WA FOOTY FACTS has the league stats.

MO leave it the GF at Subi.. If you have teams like SD, WP or a Freo derby, you would have 20k + crowd. Leederville oval and the town info structure could not support a crowd like that.

Sure it didn't look good on TV, but let's not run away and give up. Give the WAFC and WAFL management kick up the arse and get them to do their job and promote WA football.

Anyway in five years the WA Gov will have sold the land for restate, so there it is!!!!

Bloody Oath, I thought even with the weather they might cobble togther 12 - 15,000 with all the free giveaways, WAFC freeloaders and WCE free admittance to see their might eagles reserves.

Even given the weather, which is BS excuse, I have stood in driving rain at the old Subi to see a GF long before covered stands were put in.

It looked shithouse on TV, I would say by 1/2 time in the league it looked like about 8000 or even less there as many had left.

WAFC are a joke.

To get 10,000 of GF day is appaling, lets consider that it is the lowest since 1944 - which was the underage War Time Comp, that hardly anyone followed, this is how low the WAFL has crashed.

No idea where this comp is going, but down the tubes is an indication.

Excluding Subi supporters who stayed for the "WAFL League GF" (the real WAFL GF was played last week) most supporters, including myself, left before it started. So if you accept the crowd figure of just under 12,000 there was probably fewer than 8,500 - 9,000 watching it.

Trouble is swan, I'm not sure the WAFC has the wherewithall up top to understand what people are telling them. If they don't interpret the signs, then things are not going to get better.
