Better to have 25K attend at $20 a head instead of 10K at $35.

The game did have a big tv rating, a 109 which was 10 times the rating 4 of the last 5 rounds had.

Does that 109 rating figure equate to 109k viewers?

I attended a shocker at Joondalup. Must have been 2011. The worst downpour I've ever been in at the footy at 1/4 or 3/4 time. I think there was less than 2000 there?

Back to the tone of the topic and the alignment, been thinking about how it's going to feel to watch Matt Priddis pull on an East Perth jumper and play against Subi... I hope he retires before that happens.

I tend to agree with Dazza, whom pointed out above the Commission would be happy, indeed.

Subiaco won the flag -- ideal
10,000 in bad weather and when there was some sort of boycott of the grand final going on because of the stupid alignment
the cost was a wee bit steep
if there was no alignment, in good weather, and with those teams playing, the crowd would have been not much more than 15,000
the tv ratings were good

Yep, all in all, not a bad effort

By the way guys, I still think the grand final could pull 30,000 in the right conditions down the track.

I have all PF attendance figures since 1931 and this would be the second lowest behind the 2,026 in 2011.

The top 10 lowest
Season. crowd
2011 - 2,026
2013 - 4,153
2000 - 4,609
1996 - 4,698
2006 - 4,811
2001 - 4,894
2005 - 5,023
2012 - 5,342
2007 - 5,511
2008 - 5,556

Only once since 1993 has there been over 10,000 that was 11,251 for SD v EP in 2010. Between 1931 - 1990 there was only three crowds smaller than 10,000 in 1943 6,756 attended the under-age PF between Subi v SD, 8,519 in 1934 and 8,115 in 1931

A good tv rating shows that people are still interested. Better prices (ie $20) followed by advertising emphasising value for money would get people back...and no rigged comp.

$35 just shows how out of touch these plodders at the WAFC really are.

The price should be $20, kids free, pensioners $5. The GF should be played this long weekend on the Sunday. The AFL is done & dusted the day before, and it is a public holiday on the Monday. So the players and supporters can celebrate it.

But that all seems too logical for these idiots. Its another year of zero planning & foresight, and you can bet we will be talking about the same things again next year & the year after. With another shitty crowd with little incentive to attend.
