That in a nutshell is why we won't have the WAFL best players in the team. Monaghan wants AFL scouts to look at his kids and no one elses.

If it was a team based on giving some of the comps brightest talent a chance of moving to the next level then Ugle and Carey would be in the squad.

What a sook....
Pissed off cos your favourites didn't make it are we .... considering the number of players in the WAFL and the number that could genuinely make the team and then having to cut down to the size to travel .. someone's going to be disappointed..
Looks like its you?

Jeepers, panties in a twist much because someone had an opinion that was derogatory of your club. Need a tissue?

Nothing to do with my favourites, it's the best players missing from the team that is the problem. Players who after working hard have earned the privilege and right to represent their state. Instead the coach drops them because his club is getting in a bit of a financial pickle and need the cash injection from AFL draftees.

so you know which club I support - well done .... :P
Pity you didn't pay the same attention to my post as it had nothing to do with WP but rather the state team
Yours in difference took it to the level of 'your' picks not getting the chance to play ... and then lets chop up Monahan cos he's an easy target..

All sounds like sour grapes to me and there are more selectors than just a bloke named BILL making the selections for the state team whether you choose to consider that or not??
Guess not :silly:

Dodd is best option in my opinion for CHB with Notte to go through there if necessary.
I dont like the alignment but have to live with it at EP for one more year before Perth take that over

I think your speaking out of ya arse.

East Perth are stuck with the alignment for a minimum of 5 years end of story!

And have already admitted they'll fold if they didn't have the alignment. That wouldn't be a bad thing to be honest.

I would say good riddance to them and their feral flog druggie fans mate! :P

NEAFL Coach and former NT Thunder coach Daniel Archer really likes his chances on the weekend. For a coach who wants to get on a AFL list he speaks the lingo to put himself up there to be noticed. A win in this game will really promote him to the big league.

Here's what he said : "It will be the first time a combined NEAFL side featuring players from NSW, ACT, QLD and the NT has played a representative clash, a concept that excites Coach Daniel Archer.

“Having one team to represent the entire competition is an exciting prospect,” said Archer.

“We have seen really good growth across the NEAFL this year in terms of depth of talent and to have been able to pick the best players from the entire competition is just fantastic.

“We are feeling very positive and will be chasing a very hard earned win.”

The former NT Thunder coach said he is not worried that the squad will only meet for the first time as a group on the Thursday before the match.

“We can’t see it as a hindrance, we need to see it as something to be embraced,” said Archer.

“We can pick players from across four states which is amazing.

“We can have guys that play football in the style of the Northern Territory, hard bodied guys from Canberra and guys with the class of some of the Sydney and Brisbane players.”

Who really cares Astro.. It is an non event and a circus put on by the AFL. It doesnt prove or achieve anything.
Does not compare to the WA V SA and WA V VIC games that I have enjoyed in the past..
The game is not televised live and can only be watched on the streaming on the NEAFL site as far as I can ascertain

The whole excercise is a waste of time and money. Dont know if it even being called on radio in WA.. Now can you take it seriously.

I certainly arent and I hope none of the WA players get injured as they are all key players for their clubs.. I can see why Johnson pulled out now albeit for "personal reasons"

I cant actually see what it is achieving or get my head around the whole thing.. Maybe it just me.. I would of preferred to just go to a WAFL game even if they had the Reserves play and the colts..

There is no doubt at the moment outside of the AFL the WAFL is the premium football competition in Australia..SA are almost level and I will be interested in the SA V VIC game comming up.
Now the AFL being the money hungry dictatorship that they are would kill to have the WAFL under their umbrella and by Stealth they are achieving this. Be warned the WAFL as we know it will cease to exist within 5 years..

Our teams have shown via the Foxtel cup they are competative with CLA being in 2 finals and winning one. EF being in last years final and just going down.
WP defeated Box Hill who are aligned with Hawthorn and had 9 AFL listed players in their side. Box Hill were VFL premiers last year and up to when they met WP were unbeaten in the VFL this season B)

Now lets not forget NO AFL listed players were allowed to play for EF,CLA or WP!!

There has to a message in that surely dont you agree.
This message represents the official view of the voices in my head

totally agree with you Swandog re: ROB/Nelson.....apparently fellas like JVB,Rodda,Jones and Manning hurt the opposition a shed load more than the likes of Kirk Ugle, Ricky (Attadale) Carey and Justin Simpson too......which to me is strange because a lot of folk here rave on about the quality of hurt these boys produce week in week out for the WAFL league leaders.....just don't get it.....oh well at least you have set me straight now Swandog.....cheers for the honest insight mate.....much appreciated.
