East Perth or West Coast can end the alignment with a notice period of twelve months. Simpson is a player I admire for getting the most out of limited ability always had a dip. But I don't think he can handle quality power forwards to small and a little slow.

Yeah we get it fellas, Simpson getting flicked is a travesty.....Rodda coming in is bizarre and EF and WP having a shed load of players is bullshite as well......just sums up the case for a neutral coach/es to be picked instead of the traditional premiership coach getting the honours.....TBH SD have more guys deserving of a spot......fingers crossed Harding wins u boysa flag and the whole freakin SD squad get to play SA next year.....at least you guys dont have worry about Simpson doing an ACL on the weekend and putting a dampener on SDFC great start to the year.....boy would there be some travesty bitching from you boys then if that had of happened!

It hasn't been an issue in the WAFL because he's very strong. I hardly think the NEAFL is going to throw up anything superior to his WAFL opponents.

Not too sure why ROB has been dropped.......oh yeah farkin Monaghan giving Jones, JVB and Nelson first dibs.....thats why.......enjoy the weekend off ROB.....bigger fish to fry the following week me thinks.......reckon Jamie Mac and Tommy Howlett will get the arse too.......freakin travesty I tell you.....

How does one justify picking Lee off the back of 2 performances (and as captain) but not ROB?

Are they picking on this years form or last years? Either way ROB has greater claims than Lee.

It's sad that the state team will not be particularly reflective of those that deserve selection.

Lee is a very good player the best midfielder in our team full of AFL players so that speaks to his quality, does he deserve selection all I will say is fitness is not the issue. To be honest I haven't seen the other teams squad but perhaps these leagues are strengthening to a point we may need our best possible 22.

There may be a few here that choose to call this game a farce, a waste of time, wont bother watching it, think that the coaches of the squad should be picking their favourite players with stats to back them up ... I'm unsure what to make of some of the vitriol to be honest?
But in the end the players who have been 'chosen' will be and 'are' extremely proud and excited to have done so....

They wont be thinking this game is a 'waste of time' or wether they should be playing alongside another player other than the one they are running out alongside...

I for one will be doing my utmost to be watching this game - wishing the boys the very best in their endeavours and that they hold up the traditions of every Western Australian State Team since their inception...

My hope is that the scouts coming along to this game also enjoy what they see and don't consider it a waste of their time.

Don'tthink it is a question of Lee or O'Brien, there is enough room for both. It is those selected under them.

That in a nutshell is why we won't have the WAFL best players in the team. Monaghan wants AFL scouts to look at his kids and no one elses.

If it was a team based on giving some of the comps brightest talent a chance of moving to the next level then Ugle and Carey would be in the squad.

Pissed off cos your favourites didn't make it are we .... considering the number of players in the WAFL and the number that could genuinely make the team and then having to cut down to the size to travel .. someone's going to be disappointed..
