Growler Growler - Notice no quotes.. My god who would bother reading 10 posts with quotes on them... So now we are all liberals ;) Mate politics comming into it now. At least now we know where you stand..But we wont go there.. Hey just so you can get excited I will put your hero up.. Now dont get excited..Sarah Hanson Young

Now back to topic... I suggest QLD play us as a STATE team because at least he players WOULD KNOW WHO AND WHAT THEY ARE PLAYING FOR :cheer:
Bit like State of Origin - see my topic in THE BAR.

Lets have a look at the game v QLD at Rushton the last time we met them ON A STATE TO STATE basis..Worth a watch just for the Memories

Yep it was a close one and certainly not anything like todays debacle

Mate move on... because I dont know who you support in the WAFL but that will at least be A club and players who are playing for a cause not a AFL configured game that means nothing in the end and will be forgotten in a short time.
I havent forgotten we beat VFL at last meeting and it will remain in my memory for a long time.. but this game will disappear from my Memory and many others as it WAS OF NO SIGNIFICANCE :(

JORDAN Jones is one of 15 players representing Western Australia for the first time on Saturday against the NEAFL at Blacktown in Sydney and the West Perth premiership player wants to help the WAFL continue to stamp itself as the premier competition outside the AFL.

I think we proved that Jonesy but then again we didnt really need convincing B)

Nice to see Tallen Ames at the back with a smile on his face although he must have been in a lot of discomfort at that stage. Lets hope for a quick recovery and that he will be back on the paddock before too long

Same thoughts on Ames..Mike
Thanks for you input again mate as I have said before as you comments are constructive and nice to have feedback.
This topic has been good fun. Thanks for that Growler :)
Thats what keeps the board ticking over..
All else aside will be glad the WAFL season will be kicking off next week or should I say Monday week. Some brilliant games comming up and cant wait.
Hope my input has saved some guys a bit of time surfing for the info and have tried to put everything in one place to make it easier for them to keep up with whats happening.
Enjoy your Footy beacause its the greatest game of all (Well WAFL is anyway)

A montague of 1985 EF premiers.. :( A good clip of WAFL as is

I like this clip better but I am a bit biased - good song

We are a good quality footy state. We beat the Vics , SA always a challenge but we are capable, and we are miles ahead of the Neafl. Our WAFL clubs really stand tall overall in the Foxtel Cup. West Perths win over the BoxHill Hawks at Docklands says as much about the WAFL as it does about the CArdies . The scribes can keep harping on about the Sanfl & VFL , that lack of respect to us in the West makes any win state or club sweeter each time.

Well done WAFL team today

Its not that posters here have 'disagreed with me' - its the manner in which they and you have stated your disregard & distaste for the game that concerns me and then eventual on flow of those comments tarnishing the players
eg as below quotes:-

Who really cares Astro.. It is an non-event and a circus put on by the AFL. It doesn’t prove or achieve anything.”
The whole exercise is a waste of time and money. Don’t know if it even being called on radio in WA.. Now can you take it seriously?”
All a waste of time. Just hope none of our players get injuries through this game.”
“Hey it is great that our WAFL guys are getting a state jumper and representing the state and nothing against them but as some posts suggest maybe those state jumpers could of gone to other more deserving players.”
“I tuned into this so called contest in the 2nd half and I agree with Cardy. What an absolute joke of a game
“I only hope that Tallen Ames who came off in the hands of the trainers in the last quarter is not too seriously injured in such a meaningless game
What an absolute joke. The WAFL has another bye for that crap. Unless we are playing the VICS or SA then piss it off

Yours and others words that I take umbrage with - and as I stated I am sure the players would regard the game a little higher than the phrases used here.

I'll stand by what I said everyday of the week Growler. Good luck to the guys selected, I'm sure it is an honor. But there is already 4-5 byes in a season already, the comp always has it's issues in one way or another and to rub salt into the wounds there's no AFL game in WA so what do we do??? Another bye. This game should be played after the granny or in a season when we get back to even numbers..... And when playing someone stronger then the NEAFL

Geeeeeeeeeeeeeezzz … How many posts have to be made until you all get the fact my remarks refer to the ‘players’ and ‘players only’. Each of your replies hastily' if at all, recognise my point for comment and then move to better reinforce your distaste with the WAFL and the AFL – …
But no matter … I’ve enjoyed taking to task the three amigos (in this debate at least) and reading your retorts and self-back-slapping congratulations. (Although I fear or maybe cringe a couple of you need to get a room  ) I have a strong feeling deliberations such as this will be had again in the future :P

BH.....I am impressed.....well I would of been 35 years ago when I was 12 years old :P .....in the words of Queen Elizabeth mate.....Do I look I like I give a fuck?.....Cardy that photo is a classic mate....so farkin apt to this whole pro WP/EF and anti SD state selection debate......absolutely classic....even Wills bit of crumpet Kate thinks its hilarious.....

If you didnt give a fark as you so eloquently put it freeze you wouldnt have made a comment on it and also went to the trouble to quote me mate! ;)
Anyways I was just making a point to your previous reference that you thought SD fans didnt seem to give a fark about the WA result when that was far from the case in my instance!
