Can't help but think of 1981 or 1982 when East Perth first tried to join the VFL .... maybe we should have let them do it back then after all :(

Had it happened the demise would have happened five years earlier.Fremantle would have come in five years later and by now the whole WAFL would be defunct.
I can't believe you said that Southerner.

Actually if East Perth had of been accepted then footy would probably be in a far better place. There would be no franchises and a national comp would of involved clubs only. We probably would have 2 major divisions of footy with relegation and promotion and everyone would still support the club they grew up following.

But its hypothetical and ancient history now.

I think it would have ended up the same way it is now regardless Southerner.

back to the WAFL chiefs, they could learn a thing or ten of the SANFL bosses. I doubt they ever go over there and look at how the league and the local clubs run things. the WAFL's only real interest is at the top. they don't have any scope to improve things in general for local footy. that is quite clear

the club presidents need to swallow some pride and work together more. then again it only takes one rouge element to stray & its a struggle, as we now well know.

Fremantle Oval must be considered now.

That new EF jumper (1970's style) is the best looking strip in the WAFL. That is a great move by the sharks (Old Easts!)
Claremonts recent change has also been a real winner.
