East Perth are looking the goods for their first finals appearance since 2018, West Perth are really struggling at the moment so unless they can turn around their form, the final five could be locked away already.

i am not going to be arrogant and say we are going to make the finals but we have improved a lot from last year.it is hard to predict ladder positions especially with Peel and Beagles dependant on availability of Afl players.

Nearly everyone got right that the Beagles will come last unless a miracle happens.
As for the Mighty Royals i was surprised some thought that Perth would finish a head of us.Knowing that we beat them comfortably last year it was going to be a stretch with their  losses on their list outweighing their recruits.They have a decent coach and he hopefully will improve them especially if they can recruit well next year.

As for us i thought we would improve looking at our losses v recruits.Apart from Jackson(who was struggling a little last year thru injury) most of the players we lost were honest but not brilliant league players.Gaining Crowden a younger and newer rolls royce was great.A tall back from the Vfl in Macreadie was what we needed.All the other recruits have been solid in Tom North,Liam Tedesco,Alex Pearce  to top it off Raykos has been a surprise packet and Saunders has shown a bit.
The Cream on the cake  will be that Randall should only get better after two years not playing footy thru suspension..
The only downside for us is not being able to get Tom Graham on the park as he is a better KPF than Bonomelli.
The loss of Jones is a big loss but it looks like Jedd Edwards acquitted himself well.

In summing up our list is in better shape than last year and we finally have gotten past the dreaded six games won barrier that has haunted us since our divorce.
 

I had EP inside the 5. The ones that have exceed on my predictions are Subiaco- who look just as likely as anyone else. Teams that have underwhelmed are EF and WP, who I thought both would be entrenched in the top 3 but are likely to battle it out for 5th

Looking back at the predictions- if the top 5 stays the same, a lot of people with 4 out of 5. Everyone had WP making it and none had Subi AND EP making it. Unfortunately, most had West Coast and Perth as bottom 2

You need jones and/or edwards back to state the obvious

I don't wish to wander orf topic. As it currently stands at the time of writing, East Fremantle ($3.35c) & the royals (3.88) are firm faves for winning the premiership.
Subiaco are third favoured and have gone from $5.50c to $4.33c.
Claremont currently on $5.30. West Perth on $13. 55.
 

bit of a loss for East Perth - Crowden out for a few weeks injured

Ferals getting injuries at the wrong end of the season, Crowden a big out, but losing their 1st and 2nd ruckman is massive. I think they need a fit Jones back for the finals to be able to get past EF Subi or Peel on recent form.

Ark, EP are playing WCER this weekend. The inevitable % boosting victory will seal their place in the finals. 

TN: nervous nellies Ted with injuries. Peel are also uncertain if WP and SD win. Won't that be fun?
