Perhaps one of the posters who were strident supporters of Channel 7's coverage will be able to clarify whether they are still telecasting WAFL games.  From memory, I think bazza may have been one of the supporters.  Apologies if that is not right.

Yep seems to have gone very quiet on that subject.
Fair dinkum Ch7 coverage or lack there of more like it is abysmal.
The games I have seen the commentators are only ever concerned with potential or former afl players, the camera work is poor in standard definition (FRS have better quality vision) and we pay them $1million a year for that crap coverage.
 

There were no broadcasts planned for rounds 16-18 due to 7's coverage of the Olympics.  Same plan was in place last season before everything went tits up with the world.

Was that factored in and then deducted from their $1million a season asking price the WAFC & WAFL clubs stump up?

Even if we had to pay a subscription to someone like FRS, I'd be happy with that if they covered all games, You have to pay a subscription to the West to watch their match stream.

It’s a pity Kayo couldn’t get into WA footy like they do AFL.  They have an endless amount of sports and it costs about $20 a month.  They even had the plum seed spitting championships from the US…..only in America.

Don't wish to put too finer point on it. The current Wafl telecaster has always done a shitty job. If everyone is so concerned, why don't you all come together in a group and formulate a strongly worded letter to the Sports Minister? At least he would then see for himself. He may not be able to do anything, then again who knows? The ABC itself has gone downhill in recent years but moving the Wafl telecasts back there would be a god send, if they don't stuff it up!
