What would you like to see occur for 2021?

For me I'd like...

A top 4 finals series. Much better than top 5.

Each team play each other 3 times, so a 24 game season.

A state game between WA and SANFL or QFL if Victoria can't compete.

Grand Final to be at the WACA, Optus Stadium would cost too much money, so WACA is the next best.

Perhaps an incentive for people to go to more games. The more you attend the cheaper the entry fee becomes per game.

Football Budget magazine to continue but with more articles rather than just team listing.

15 minute quarters plus time on

All games to be on a Saturday afternoon starting at 2pm (except for the Channel 7 game as TV will dictate that).

Development to Start on the new bigger WACA with all finals played there ASAP.
Double header finals - under lights
Pay another radio station to broadcast
live stream all games
All Games Saturday Arvos.

Back to a full home and away fixture.
Back to 20 minute qtrs plus time on.
All WAFL grounds to have upgraded lighting to play twilight games starting at 3.30-4pm.
Colts games would then start at 10.30-11am & Reserves at 1-1.30pm.
Salary cap to stay at $270k per season.
All WAFL ground surfaces to be upgraded.

Everything back as it was in 2019 but keep the final 4 format.
Get the WACA revelopment going so it can host footy with a 25k capacity, until then GF at Optus.
WACA to host the TV game each week and all finals.
Early and late season night games at grounds with lights, all other games saturday arvo apart from the TV game which should be saturday wherever possible.
Peel to be expelled from the comp if they dont field a ressies team.
No salary cap reduction.

SS we would all love a 25k WACA but with the new boutique redevelopment it will only hold 10k, dont forget there is mooted to be a bloody outdoor pool in there as well!

The WACA redevelopment yes but only if done right. Probably needs $300 Million for that.

The Realignment of Freo oval and the old stand. Plus an upgrade.

Perth to get their stand approved, financed and ready to go. Need to ensure there is more viewing capacity on the outer wing. Ensure crowd is close to the game and not stuck behind windows Would want to be able to hold 7-9 thousand.

I actually like the idea of 9 teams playing the other 8 twice for a 16 round comp. If Peel don't get a reserves team (out you go) 8 teams play the other 7 for a 14 round comp. Top 4.

AFL players continue to develop in your own squads - i.e. no droping "BACK" to a WAFL team that some show scant regard for and some aren't up to.

I hope Swans and EF come along with their developments too.

8 team comp, top 4.

Hate the idea of reduced qts, we've had 20 + TO for years, before that it was 25 + TO. I dont want less footy I want more. We used to have a 21 game season, then it was 20 now 18, where will it stop. 20 games with 2 full rounds of 8 games then the extra 4 based on previous years finishing order, top teams play each other as do the bottom teams.

Having a strong on field SD, Perth, EP & EF should also be on the 2021 wishlist.

In having a close look at the WAFL League competition it has become all a bit predictable for far too long now since the advent of Fremantle & Peel in the mid 90s!
Subiaco have dominated this century whilst pretty much CL, WP & SF have been consistent finalists and winning a few flags along the way when Subi or an alignment team hasnt!
Perth as we all know havent won a Premiership since 1977 or even played in a GF since 1978.
Taking out the EP/Eagles alignment years (MkI & II) they have not won a flag since 1978 or played in a GF since 1996.
EF havent won a flag since 1998 and have only played in 1 GF since 2000.
Whilst SD have only won 1 flag (2010) and played in 1 other GF (2008) in the last 30 years.
I will not bother to include Peel/Fremantle.

Yes those clubs have to shoulder the blame for their misdoings but gee wiz how on earth have the WAFC as the overseeing body allowed this to fester for so bloody long???!!!
