Good to see there are some experts on here.
The Kelmscott (more correctly Gosnells/Canning Vale) push was more like 26-27 years when Barry McGrath failed to provide members with any information let alone meaningful financial information.
That was before Catalano provided the WAFL with the Peel Thunder fiasco against Club wishes.
Please people if you are not a Perth supporter with at least some knowledge.

DG- I don't' know either but my guess is that Old Easts started recruiting in season 2018 (eg Kommer and Boekhorst) and some players might be due for a "service" reduction in their points loading in 2021 (see Rule 2.6(a)) which would in effect give Old Easts more points to play with. I don't know this is right for sure, but eg if Kommer and Boekhorst go from 10 points each to 5 each and EF's points cap didn't change Old Easts would keep their "top end" talent and could add another 10 point player (which might be against the aim of the 2021 allocation, which is "encouraging home-grown talent to be add to each WAFL club’s list ").
the Ferals, on the other hand only started their recruitment in season 2019 and the points haven't washed through in the same way as Old Easts so a reduction in the Ferals points could mean they'd have to dump a recruit (or 10 players from their zone) if their points cap was lowered.
As I say I don't know for sure but its just a theory to try to make sense of the change. Could be wrong!

Think you are spot on there Factor....Kommer, Boekhorst and Loersch are all into their 4th seasons at EF in 2021....so 30 pts get reduced to 15....well one would hope so especially since EF finished 8th with a 1/7 record and they get points reduced and higher placed clubs in EP and SD keep their points tallies and Perth who made finals get a 5 point top up..LOL...no complaints from me though DG...just hope EF spend their points wisely....Kommer and Loersch have been injury prone 10 pointers and Boekhorst lost a season to an ACL and luckily been injury free ever since....

I wonder how much an experienced WAFL player costs points wise, who has had a break from footy and comes back to play for another club?

The battle might have started early 90’s but the war was still going on years later.

Does that advice extend to Perth supporters commenting on issues/topics about other clubs?

It’s going to be very quiet on here if it does! A few Perth supporters might as well shut down their Ozfooty accounts.

I see the vfl have merged with other states for a 22 team 16 game season in a virtual afl reserves comp excluding WA and sa. They are on the same salary cap as the wafl and 10k less than the sanfl to "provide players with the highest level of second-tier football."

Yeah weird, the largest and loudest moaning about the GF seemed to come from club supporters that had zero participation in the day.

Thanks for that Factor. That is laughable. So ferals stay on 125 pts and old easts get reduced from 120 to 115. Htf does that work?? I had the feeling the ferals would have been premiership contenders if this season was normal in length

How the feck does Perth who played finals end up with more points yet the other three clubs that played finals ended up with less?

Because as you keep reminding us we have been a laughing stock for the last 40 odd years and the WAFC probably saw how much better the comp looks with Perth playing finals. Probably get Swans and EP in there at the expense of a few of the regulars and they had better book Optus Stadium for the GF or all hell will break loose.

A Perth v Swans, P v EP or Swans v EP GF will easily get 30k plus at Optus.
Get on your bike.

Seems like Masto's mate Will doesn't agree with you on that one DD.....tho a SD or Perth GF would definitely be a popular choice, especially since the Eastern Suburbs of Perth are regarded as the heartland of WA footy....
