Using the “amateursomniacs” logic it means that we don’t actually need the WAFL for WA boys to get drafted! We can remove the WAFL and the 600 odd players currently involved with WAFL clubs can just play amateurs/school/country footy and the better ones can get drafted to the AFL from there!

And save 60 million dollars every 6 years. This discussion is simply a circle jerks for waflsomniac dinosaurs. AFL is king, live with it.

Yes, ask Richmond how good the wafl is - it gave them 3 premiership players last year - Baker Broad and Pickett
I take it they didn’t ask for your opinion when they drafted those players whether you had anyone better in mind to recruit?

Cmon laddy. Just because you can multiply numbers don’t come up with 60 million. If you wanted impact you should have said 200 million over 20 years. WAFL here forever.

60 mil was the figure given under oath at the enquiry.

No objections to it by the enquiry, safe too say it is a real figure.

You’re repeating yourself now Mark. Probably didn’t ask your opinion on whether those players where suitable to make it at AFL level either given you’re not an AFL recruiter.

The WAFL and the SANFL stipulated that it was a requirement that players based in their respective states were required to play a minimum of 1 state league game to be able to be drafted.

To the WAFL and SANFL credit they have ensured that they are relevant to every young player who wants to realise their dream of making it to the AFL.

Just remind me though how many mature WAFL players get drafted each year versus how many players get drafted directly from Colts?

Now how many of those Colts players drafted, play regular AFL games in their first 3 seasons, that’s if they play a game at all before being delisted?

Ask the afl they run they draft or the wafc who run football in WA, you are asking questions they are responsible for
