Ha, Centrepoint SC? Goes to show how long it’s been since you’ve been to Midland Bazza. Midland Gate is the sprawling hub of Midland that just added a 100 million dollar upgrade early 2018 that puts FreeHo and Phoenix Shopping Centre in the shade.

What a dump FreeHo is these days, taken over by homeless drugged up zombies just like the city of Perth. Retailers can’t get out of the joint quick enough.

You got that right about Freo DD. I grew up there and still travel through on my way to work and can't believe how run down it is. A crying shame.

Every single major city or township has a massive homeless issue and truthfully it is a huge problem on the eastern seaboard from top end to bottom end particularly in Melbourne & Sydney

Fremantle Town had it's boom with The Americas Cup but copped some during the 1997 G F collapse and hasn't bounced back and this now won't help things

Government is injecting a shedload into the area as well as big business like Bunnings and Curtin Uni. A bloke told me recently the current smaller sized Bunnings in Midland is the most profitable in WA which shows people are thriving in the area but it's too small. Bunnings are in the process of building a new warehouse on Clayton St, Bellevue which will be the largest Bunnings in WA.

Curtin University are building a new satellite campus next to the police communications centre which is also right next door to the recently new SJOG hospital.

The new Midland Workshops are currently under construction on Railway pde where we will build our own trains and Midland train station is being moved closer to the hospital and will extend through to Bellevue in the near future.

The old Midland Oval is being developed into a residential and commercial centre. A 4 storey residential apartment complex has just been completed and new streets are in place. There will also be some green space to keep the tree huggers happy.

Midland is buzzing champ.

Midland buzzing - yeah right, the big redevelopment was supposed to happen years ago, I go there on a regular basis, joints unchanged LITERALLY - Kimbos Fashions and Tonys Harddressers like 1979 all over again, and another thing I can guarantee you the Freo Court House is light years ahead on the Midland one...lol

Spot on city centers and Retail are struggling and Midland is more cooked than most, I mean who actually goes out to Midland for a special trip, are tourists attracted there, do they have a World Heritage Site? do they get a sea breeze - Nope...

Lol, maybe you should venture east of the Midland Town Hall clock next time you are in the area. What they did with the old rail workshops is absolutely brilliant and something to be proud of.

Your Lord Mayor is more interested in finding ways not to offend people than making Fremantle something to be proud of again. Has the dickhead fixed the damage to the buildings that he approved to be plastered with tin foil all down the street to create an ILLUSION? The guy is living in an illusionary world.
