Yep which makes the decision not to have started the WAFL season 3 weeks ago now when Phase 4 kicked in ridiculous...as we were saying back then STT!

Yep exactly right, we are back to the future., we should of bee playing weeks ago, this is a bloody joke.

As been said previously, the Wafl has lost a golden opportunity, again.
For example the weather today would have been good playing conditions being fine with a 19ยบ maximum temperature.
The weather is looking likely to be raining for the opening round. Which will have an impact when trying to capture good attendances.

A couple good articles on the WAFL in the West the last few days and one from JT making exactly the same argument as you wag....that a perfect opportunity has been lost by the WAFC to not only trump the AFL by starting early but also by tweaking the rules to break up congestion and making play more attractive. I'd cut and paste on here but they're paywalled so I'd probably get growled at...but worth a read nonetheless.

Latest news from the east suggests we might just get uninterrupted coverage after all - all footy in Victoria abandoned for the year & NSW about to be evacuated from

Plug will end up being pulled by the looks of this , cannot see them parting with their MCG finish especially since their Melbourne Cup looks kaput now

If it wasn't so serious a situation it would be pure unadulterated GOLD

Oh ok. Not bothering with the daily paper anymore. Not sure what's in it.
As for rule changes, probably not necessary to do so. The coaches could instruct players to stop all this congesting/ playing out of position silliness that goes on.
They could have a big part in stopping it all. The question being do they wish to?
I'd think rule changes would be a last resort, but as we've seen in recent years anything is possible I guess?

Dont see any need for rule changes, the WAFL game compared to the AFL game are chalk n cheese, much more man on man at WAFL due to a lower level of fittness, WAFL blokes with a few exceptions just cant run and spread all day or flood back and forward all day like the AFL athletes (that's athletes not footballers) Would watch a WAFL game any day ahead of the AFL circus.

Do you guys think that the wafc can spend the money from salaries into a wafl online streaming website so all wafl and wafl W games can be streamed live?

I see Souths are around $4 to win the flag....after 3 rounds so far and after what I've seen if I was a betting man I'd have a big piece of that as I think they're a lock.

Okay you do that - i am backing Subiaco every match. Cleaned up yesterday on them minus 29.5 points. Go Subi!

I reckon you'll lose more that you win TM due to Subi missing key players in Powell, Lockyer, Braut, Borchet, Marsh for most if not the rest of the season.

Well sounds like a danger game on the horizon for Subiaco this weekend against Souths. Maybe i will give it a wide berth and get on the them round 5.
