And all the league matches are starting at midday according to the fixtures viewed yesterday. That is certainly a bit different. With rain forecast for the weekend of the 18th, at least people will be leaving the ground at games end in the daylight. And not fumbling around in the half dark and wet conditions.

WAFL app not updated. It's a farce. SANFL has had live streaming of all games so far, WAFL has had nothing except 1 game on TV a week for the past 30 years.

I think you'll find that the 12 start time is a default WAG because the game times haven't been decided. It will depend on Channel 7 and what is happening with the AFL fixtures on that weekend. Things are changing hourly in that competition at the moment so my bet is that most of the WAFL games will start at the usual time of 2.15 on Saturday but the televised game will be moved according to the TV schedule.

My mail has the standard times (non telly compromised) will be
9.30 Colts
12.00 reserves
2.30 League
Reserves will have two byes, so look for a women's game to slot in where possible.

Just heard victoria been placed on lockdown for a month and a ½. Hopefully that means no bloody victorian footballers crossing our supposedly closed state border!
That should be giving the Wafl plenty of clear fresh air which will be a godsend when bouncedown happens on the 18th.
Going to be very interesting to see if the so called commission and the state government swing in behind it with support instead of the usual silly antics!
State government's main focus should have been on the Wafl to begin with, but sadly isn't! There should also be no excuse for the media not to get on board with promotion for example. Instead of their usual ignorance.
Have noticed the Sanfl powering on after their week two fixtures just been completed. With no distractions, we should be able to crank the Wafl up.

WAG we should have started on exactly the same weekend as the SANFL but for some piss poor leadership from the WAFC & certain WAFL clubs who didnt want to play extra games, some didnt even want to play at all this season.

And I believe the Sanfl season is 13 or 14 weeks duration with their Finals beginning sometime in October.
I heard 2 or 3 of the Wafl clubs poo pooed the idea of participating this shortened season. We could have gone a longer time-frame than nine weeks. I'm sure with a ounce of organising and small effort, that could have been achieved.

That's neither here nor there TE.
I don't think anything would have moved if the young reporter (and I don't know whom) had not asked the premier about the Wafl, some 5 or 6 weeks ago. Apparently McGowan was very surprised someone even asked about it.
And things have moved slowly from there. Slowly being the operative word.
Meanwhile the Sanfl is powering along because their organised, with their third week of fixtures to be held this weekend.
Then one looks at the Wafl which is a bit like looking at dust and cobwebs everywhere
