September is a while off mate, might be OK.

Yes...you're dead right Baz...a lot to play out in that period of time. On the other hand, it could save me a fortune. B)

I really hope it turns OK, pretty sad for your daughter if it gets canned.

But good for the BC Bank Balance...lol

Why don't we just play one game between Subi and SF? That's effectively what the season would have come to anyway.

Ted...but what about the resurgence by your beloved Demons?...surely you'd like to see that played out over the season even if it was an abbreviated version. TBH...I can't see any WAFL footy being played this year which is a shame as I think it would have been a pretty interesting season.

I wouldn't be surprised if the season is called off altogether. I just think the late start is probably a bit unnecessary, but having said that, we are all more careful nowadays. Currently the only sport to look forward to is the next basketball season which is a long way off.

Yeah it is a bad side effect of the times we're in - the State Government will be footing a large portion of funding via the WAFC to the clubs hearing in the vicinity of 10 million

Subi, Perth, Claremont, EP and by the sounds of the press release from Souths they will also get through, Swans are/were in a far better place financially than previous years, dont know about EF and WP, well who knows, so with some reasonable assistance from Govt, clubs should survive but it will, for everyone, take a few years to get back on track. When the comp starts up again next year, it will need some serious money thrown at promoting the comp, but will the commish do that, they have done nothing in the past. Oh for a Twiggy type person to step in with a few mill for the WAFL clubs and comp.
