The umpiring of the Mossie and basso game was a joke from the start. But the the Time keeper to be sitting on the balcony with all the supporters drinking was a joke. Why wasn't he on the boundry line where all the action was taking place. Andwhen was time off called during the last quarter I would like to know?

I'm all for allowing Bassendean players/supporters having a vent - anytime you lose a game by a kick on the siren there will be emotions and you'll look to blame this that and the other.
As it's been said, Bassendean had a duty to supply a timekeeper, and due to the ranting, they must not have. This still does not indict the timekeeper as being at fault, but it does mean that no blame can be heaped on them without consideration that any possible fault of theirs was facilitated by Bassendean's lack of action prior to the final whistle.
Let it be known that in any such dispute, the Mossies players cannot be at fault, and the coaches/runners etc can also not be at fault. The suggestions that they cheated are insulting to say the least.
I figure my earlier point about the illegal player on field was accepted since it was not disputed once put to the Bassendean fans posting here? As much of a mockery of process as the umpires made it, Bassendean were awarded for a serious infringement on their behalf!
Class involves accepting that you lost on the day. You will be, and deserve to be upset with a tight loss. But keep it in check. As I have said, the game will be seen as a great match tainted by poor officiating. Someone has to win, someone has to lose. I believe karma had it's say and yesterday was not your day.
Simples!

Not blaming the players, blaming the club/ time keeper. Over time by a minute and half then blow the siren when your about to kick for goal is cheating. Even some of your players were bemused for god sake. Karma you speak of, well I hope karma occurs this week end coming.

I don't believe that anyone has had a go at the played or coaches from any side is was a good hard game of footy which we all love to watch. It's a shame that one person can spoil the game for so many. Especially when he was queried that there can't be much time left. His responses was 'there is time on'

He obviously didn't know the rules which is why Basso should have had their own time keeper and possibly it wouldn't have happened.

Viper we did have our own time keeper but when the siren is upstairs on the balcony with all the supporters things are a bit hard to maintain!!!

This precisely. The umpires were very vague/confused about what was happening at several times - the count, the bouncedown to start the 3rd, the "injury" in the 4th. If they can't get it right, don't single out a timekeeper as the fallguy when he should have been 1 of 2 time officials.
The whole "hanging of heads in shame" comment I already made light of insinuated cheating by players/club officials. A disgraceful accusation, hence my defence.
I do believe in karma, and if Mossies don't deserve it they'll get theirs next week. If they do win, then let bygones be bygones.

2 reasonable questions if this is true-

1) why wasn't he alongside MP's timekeeper?
2) why was a yellow carded player illegally on ground?

If I was the time keeper I'd have been shoving spectators out of the way to press that button.
