Big week on OzFooty....
I will kick things off and do a preview for this weekends finals games.
Quinns (1st) vs Canning (2nd) @ Ridgewood Park
This one will be a cracker. The mighty undefeated Quinns outfit against the only team I believe who have what it takes to knock them off. As in previous posts, the flag is Quinns to lose - it is just a matter of whether they can continue their irresistible form under the pressure of finals. Canning had to fight hard to overcome a faster Mosman Park last week and I saw first hand how the lack of Tiger speed could hurt them in the finals - but in saying that, their experienced heads did get them over the line. Although I can't see Canning winning this one, I will be hoping for a close game.

Mosman Park (3rd) vs Bassendean (5th) @ Tom Perrot Reserve
Mossie impressed me last week with their speed around the ground. They will be hurting after last week's loss and will look to make amends at thier home ground. They played 3/4 of good footy last week only to lose the game with a poor third quarter. Bassendean are a side who also have the speed and seem to have found some consistency come the right time of the year. They have arguably the best forward line in the competition but the question still has to be asked as to whether they have the mental capacity to prevail under the pressure of a final. With old heads like Ace in the side, I will back them in this week. As always - I love a fairy-tale in footy.

Quinns Reserves (1st) vs Canning Reserves (3rd) @ Ridgewood Park
I know very little about either of these teams. Quinns had a massive percentage during the season and clearly deserve the top billing here. The Tiger twos looked hungry last week, they out-ran and out-fought the Warnbro side for the ball. Purely because they are at home and deserved minor premiers, I can't go past the Bulls here.

Warnbro Reserves (2nd) vs Swan Valley Reserves (5th) @ Tom Perrot Reserve
As per above, it is hard to comment on teams who I have seen little of, but watching last week, Warnrbo looked lackluster around the ball. I hear they had 4-sides playing last week and lost all games - that MUST hurt. With their League side being knocked out, the question must be asked - have they a couple of handy in's this week? The grape-eaters from the Valley had a great win last week, only 15-points but looking at the score, it should have been more. On assumption they had a strong side last week because their League side aren't playing finals as well, I would expect this game to be a cracker.

Swan View Colts (1st) vs Canningvale Colts (2nd) @ Brown Park
The one I have been waiting for in the LK Colts. The record stands at 1-1 this season between clearly the two best Colts sides in the competition. The Viewers have taken all before them and although I have never seen so many tats or flat-peaked caps on a group of young guys - do not get me wrong.... they CAN play. Our CV Cubs have been strong all year, but rarely have played a full 4-quarter game of footy. They were bolstered by the addition of a couple of the League regulars last week and the scoreline showed the presence they had. Obviously, I am keen to see what the adventures of Kermit (the Swan View Coach/Runner) has in store this week, will be interesting to see if he can keep is head cool and his mouth shut under the pressure of a final. His last comment to our Coach was "you blokes won't make finals". Well we have and we are ready to play! I expect a cracker here and hopefully a well fought close game of footy - after all, these kids are the future.
Quinns Colts (3rd) vs Bassendean Colts (5th) @ Ridgewood Park
The Quinns side looked out of their depth last week against the Cubs. They were starved for the ball, out-ran and their forwards were simply not given a chance. Bassendean obviously had a good win against the Warnbro side - haven't heard anything about this game so I cannot comment. Purely on last week's effort, I will pick the Basso boys to be up and about.

As always, these are my opinions, I encourage you guys to comment and share. Look forward to a good weekend of C2 Footy - Good luck to all.
