This is not the point. It was no accident. I have no doubt that Gaff did not intend to hit Brayshaw on the head but the point is that nobody should be throwing punches with that sort of force on a football field, or anywhere for that matter. Im sure many people who have killed others with one punch attacks did not "intend" to hurt their victim but they have to live with the consequences of their actions

It was a round arm, no cocked elbow, I would not even call it a punch, 100's happen each week in the AFL. I know its the first motion i use when I tackle someone in an attempt to dislodge the ball and slow the person with the ball down a little.
Had Gaff done it head height then its a dog act. Fact is Gaff swung below shoulder height plain to see in the vision. Unfortunately Brayshaw who is a couple centimetres taller than Gaff was too concerned about blocking Gaffs run, made a sharp side step, lowered his body considerably and copped it in the face.

I can tell you right now what is going to happen that will change the game forever...... 4 field umpires, umpires will now call the negating tactics of taggers who block the run of the better players.

At the end of the day I thought it would be 8 minimum and that's what he got.
He doesn't deserve to play in the finals and he has to pay for the pain he has caused to the young kid.
