Interesting the last point. I would think that it could be only done with the explicit permission of the player who was injured. Patient confidentiality is not at the beck and call of the AFL.

Disclaimer: I am no fan of the Eagles.and I didn't watch the match. I have seen, as I am sure every poster on here, the incident.

The first observation is that there is considerable doubt cast regarding the veracity of Trever Nisbett's claim of they are golfing buddies and the only relationship is restricted to the footy field. Given his criticism of others about not getting the facts right Nisbett needs to provide a complete explanation regarding his comments re the actual relationship between the players.

As to what he will get and should get I expect that he will get something in the order of 6-7 weeks. I would think that the minimum should start at 10 weeks after any discounting for guilty plea; previous good record etc.
