No I didn't have anything to do with that decision.

Mikeh, supposedly they have been "managing" this shoulder all summer....yet MM gets picked to go to the fast bowlers graveyard known as India..not the ideal place to "manage" ones dodgy shoulder.....what were they hoping to achieve?......why was he selected if not 100%......it wasnt as though his batting won him his selection....thought it was his ability to bowl at 140 clicks as Lehmann likes to put it is why MM gets the nod!

Wasted chance to pick someone else like Head or Patterson or Stoinis etc from the beginning of the tour.....now someone is gonna come over who will be expected to adapt over night and perform......talk about on a hiding to nothing.....how much do these farkin selectors get paid for being so blinkered in their devotion to MM.....no runs or wickets on the board for Aust or WA for the last 18 months in the longer format.....Langer is just as bad with talking MM up all the time......make him earn his WA spot like Ashton Turner or Hilton Cartwright have done this year with runs on the board and wickets.....rather see Cameron Green persisted with over MM TBH....

Well said Freezin, 2 things the selectors are missing, commonsense and logic!!

Do no conspiracy, no systemic rorting of the DRS; just an honest mistake by an experienced Australian lead up the garden path by that hugely inexperienced Peter Handscomb. And apparently he was too inarticulate to be able to succinctly tell S Marsh to request a DRS review. Mind boggling.

I think Kohli has a point to be honest. The fact that Handscomb took the blame on twitter for "misleading" his far more experienced captain who should have known the rule makes me a little suspicious. Sutherland's officious statement was a waste of newsprint and reinforced my opinion of him as a pompous prat. ICC should at least conduct an independent investigation into this issue.

As for the selectors, words fail me really. Taking a player under an injury cloud to India makes no sense at all. Especially when Mitch Marsh was a fringe player at best. Now they are going to replace him with a like for like such as Henriques, Stonis or Cartright. Whoever it is will join Agar, Bird and Swepson on the bench for a few weeks . Remember Cartright, he was in Australia's first XI in January but not in their first 16 in February. Honestly they are making it up as they go along.

I see BH is missing in action at the moment; but surely Steve Smith would have tried to take all the heat and not try to throw Handscomb under the bus?

One could be forgiven for thinking that the shoulder business is a 'line' to cover for tha fact that they are having to drop a top six batsman twice in double quick time.

I still maintain thet poor Cartwright was only picked because they believed there would be uproar if they picked M Marsh in the side again so quicklly for that Perth test. Always intending on getting Marsh back in the side, a tour of India was the perfect opportunity to do so. The whole little arrangement had the benefit of being at arm's link, so to speak, even from the cricket fraternity.

I think it is very very sad that what was a fantastic test match has now been overshadowed by the posturing and bickering between both countries. On the one hand Kohli stirring the pot with his public incendiary statements ( if he really believed the Australians were breaking the rules, there are formal channels that he could have gone through but this was all about creating ill feeling against Smith). The tacky celebrations of the Indians (where has the concept of humility in victory and respect for your opponents gone). The constant sledging and over the top celebrations of wickets and vitriolic send offs of the batsmen by the Australians, And then the predictable pompous posturing of both Cricket Australia and the Indian Board of Control.

Then theres the spineless gutless ICC and its match referee which took no action despite the obvious breaches of the player code of conduct.
The game of cricket is the big loser here and I wouldn't at all be surprised if there is some crowd trouble or worse a physical altercation between players such is the level of emotion being created by the participants in this farce.
