Interesting topic Grassy. It looks like anything could happen in this election.Barnett has been WAP this last 4 years. But history tells us that this is a conservative state. On Pauline Hanson I think she's been really disapointing in the Senate.

Im not usually a one "policy" voter...BUT ever since Barnett made the senior cits card 61 instead of 60, thats done it for me. Hitting the people who have generally worked their asses off for 40 odd years, just to save a few dollars. Sorry Libs, of all the things to pick on ya pick on that.

Spot on. Barney just doesn't understand what life without a few mill in the bank is like! Perhaps if they cancelled the pollie's entitlements and retirement rorts they would save a bundle

gtr: it should be a reasonable election, there being daylight between the parties om issues, such as, transport and privitisations. As for Donald, I am sure you will have a great time watching him over the next four years. I hope he stays off that twitter thing.

Grassy wrote: There are a lot of Angry Conservative Voters, not too pleased with Barnett and Co.

Trouble is,knowing what Hanson did before, they'll stay with the tried and trusted, rather than take a risk and turf the Libs out.

If any Labir voter puts their trust in her, they need their heads read. They surely must know she is a Conservative at Heart and vote accordingly on things like Industrial Relations?

Let's not forget that she was the ENDORSED Liberal Party candidate.

The hide of Emperor Barnett to even suggest that the Liberals would extend to Yanchep is laughable. Every Labor Party advertisement on public transport should contain every BROKEN promise of Emperor Barnett on public transport.

I have a good mate who's in the media, political reporter who's always lent to the left and he still reckons the libs will get in but with a very slim margin at best. We are so poorly served by both sides of politics, that's why in recent years so many have moved to the indo's, I'm not a believer in that as they are only spoilers at best and down right destructive at worst. Hopefully WA voters are smart enough to see through Hanson and her divisive politics, anyone who idolizes Trumpet needs to be avoided.

The libs will spruik all the infrastructure that has been or is being built, but will cop it for the defecit that has been created along the way .... drop in commodity prices ...... getting royally screwed out of our GST by the Feds ..... fiscal mismanagement, the last one is the only one that Lab can run on as the others are out of any state governments hands.

McGowen still has an image problem, he's a bit of a charisma free zone but a solid consistent well planned and targeted campaign should see them win or go very very close. I have a problem with the fact that they are already campaigning which I think is a big mistake. Voters will start to switch off from their message due to campaign fatigue, both sides should focus all their money and efforts in the last 2 weeks of the campaign as that's when most voters will solidify their decisions, a slick well funded libs campaign could still see them hold onto power. In saying that lab will not want for funds with the unions pouring big buckets of money into their camp.

As for broken campaign promises, neither side holds the moral ground in that area ..... whats the quote ... how do you know when a pollie is lieing - if his lips are moving, that applies to both sides.
