Hope your having a good holiday Mike.Im an Aussie Cricket fan but so wanted BM to do another innings like the first innings. Was a fantasitic Warner catch, 65 runs off 30 balls would of been good for you to see.

We arrived just as Brendan McCullam was walking in and TBH I was hoping he would hang around for a while because there are no dull moments when he is batting. My claim to fame is that the 6 he scored the ball before he got out bounced between my wife and I on the bank! It was past me before I had a chance to grab it.

Hey Mike, is NZ worth a visit? I keep hearing how nice it over there

I think McCullum has given the Kiwis a lift , but until they find some real mongrel and some real guts and grit they will go nowhere.
The commentators and press from NZ can whinge and moan all they like about the bad tempered , bad mannered, potty mouthed Aussies all they like. But until they decide to take the bull by the horns and play the same aggressive not quarter asked and none given approach like the Aussies, then they will go nowhere.
It is a little bit like the little brother complaining to Mummy and Daddy that big brother doesn't play nice.Playing nice doesn't win games, maybe one every now and then, but not often.Playing nice doesn't win tight hard games.Playing nice doesn't win you test cricket series against hardened opposition.
This Aussie side is a side of almost unknowns tot he cricket world. They play hard now, imagine how hard they will play when it all comes together.
The press can moan all they like that the Aussies spit the dummy when things go against them. But that is why the Aussies are such a good cricketing nation. They hate to lose and love nothing better than a stoush, even if it mean upsetting the rest of the world.

A/man what was the name of the Australian cricketer who had the temerity and gall to criticise Kyrgios and his behaviour? Absolute rank hypocrisy. So you would have no problems with an Under 13s cricket team behaving in a similar fashion to the Australian cricket team?

Sorry for the late reply Swandog, not accessing this site much when I am travelling. I am absolutely loving NZ. It is my first trip here and the scenery is just spectacular. We have been here about a week and we are mainly in the South Island, just a small side trip to Wellington the only time we venture to the North Island. I think there is something here for all tastes from cruises to hiking ( or tramping as they call it here), food and wine, cycling, caravaning, white water rafting, the list goes on and on. We are in Milford Sound at the moment surrounded by mountains and lakes. We are still here for 3 more weeks so there is a lot more to come. Also the people are very friendly in the tourist centres ( although when they find out we are Aussies most are quick to remind us they won the Rugby). We can fire back with the Cricket and Netball :P Highly recommend it.

The Kiwis will never ever ever ever, be a world class side. They don't have the guts or balls to take the hard choices.
Yep the Aussies go over board, but there are people, who shall remain nameless, who have no fear of taking cheap shots at the Aussie cricket team when they get belted. Can't have it both ways.Either you want them to be winners by any means or you want them to me pleasant sort of chap losers.
I know what I want and I don't want my team to be nice losers.

Spot on anchor. Nice guys come last and I love seeing Aussie at the top.

Will be watching with interest tomorrow morning to see if that blunder comes back to bite us in the chase for 201.

What a shame Hazlewood wasnt at the WACA this evening taking notes on how to bowl to the tail by young WA bowler Paris ...inswinging yorkers that the 10 & Jack had no idea how to play knocked them over in consecutive balls ...not that short shit that the last 3 in NZ cart everywhere for 130 runs between them!
