I see that the Australian Cricket Board are having trouble finding a first-class pitch for the tourists to play on; even that, first-class matches are being called off altogether. It is not a very good look for Australia; we must remember that the New Zealanders are visitors to our country and should be treated with respect on and off the field. At the same time we are suppose to be the first country to have the technological and cricket wherewith all to run a 'day-night test'.

Um didn't the cricket board eleven score 500 runs for the loss of one wicket couldn't of been that bad are we supposed to prepare pitches that suit the visitors, certainly didn't see that during the ashes.

Actually what's more embarrassing is that Finch who averages in the twentys in shield cricket scored 288 against a full strength kiwi attack.

PN: tour matches should be against state sides where the test matches are going to be played. the fact that the opposition made 500-1 demonstrates my point perfectly: the pitch was not first class standard; it first time in the history of first class in Australia that a side has reached 500-1.

Nor were the wickets in England for their practice games why should the ACB give the Kiwis any advantage, they obviously prepared this Blacktown pitch to be the complete opposite of the Gabba conditions.

PN -- the game got abandoned. Can you remember a first-class cricket match ever being abandoned because of sub-standard pitch? In regards to the situation when we were in England, it is up to the ACB to demand matches at the test grounds. They did not bother to press the English on the point because they thought they would retain the urn easily. The NZ board bears a little responsibility for agreeing to the conditions of the tour.

how can a game be abandoned for safety reasons after one team is 1/500 odd batting first?....safety for the batsman's bat?....safety for the lining of the ball? definitely not for the batsmen?.....

NZ haven't had a bat and need runs.....Burns and Khawaja have had a bat and need runs.....pretty well even stevens if you ask me.....how in fark is Klinger not in the side?....glad S Marsh isn't though.....

Rod Marsh said that with Voges in the side, they weren't prepared to go with 2 34/35yr olds in the team. Had it not been for Voges, Klinger may well have been selected.

The biggest problem with the tickets is the prices anywhere from $60-$112 for an Adult ticket, its a joke.

The Kiwis look really underdone atm.Boult not fit,Southy gone home bad back. The batsman dont look prepared for test cricket either. Ross Taylor looks out of touch..Dan Vettory looked terribly missed in the first test.
