Geez, do they hand out a box of tissues with your Swans membership every year?

Seems to be the only thing Swans supporters do on here is complain and moan.

Your team is in the finals FFS, look forward to the game on Sunday. It's more than the rest of us have.

Claremont have won 5 of their 10 GF's since 1991. It was great listening to Marc Webb on the radio last night about how good this year have been to have as close to a settled team and not having to have AFL players coming in and out all of the time. East Perth has failed its zone and only have themselves to blame for the Easy Path they have decided to go down. It's funny how it has taken someone like Dawson to come in and start developing the kids with I think 7 or 8 debuting this year. Very few have achieved that or anything close in the last 5 or 6 years. It should be a close game on Sunday. Can't see Hansen playing however he needs to be given the respect of whoever defends him otherwise he could kick or create 4 or 5 goals just roaming inside 50.

All the best Swannies but I think you are going to be pushing shit up hill.
Problem is if we lose to CLA we will be playing the EP EAGLES the next week.
Our reserves are going to be playing a reserve side that is stacked as well!!!

Gotta be positive but some BIG ins for EP.. which will give them a Huge edge over the Regular WAFL sides..

Post I put on WPFC Site...but here for your interest. e.g

Yes interesting but not a surprise with EP.. FOOD FOR THOUGHT :(

In S Lycett, A Selwood, B Wilson, J Cripps, F Clutterbuck, C Grover, Out A Boyes, C Hart

Now with an extended bench there will be a couple more most probably playing Ressies due to the flow down effect.. Not sure on the rules regarding Eligibility for League players playing reserves. Obviously something in place But with 2 sides in the Finals most probably no eligibly criteria..
Bottom Line our Reserves could be meeting a few different players than they met in home and away season.

Full EPFC League side but remember it is an extended bench so a couple more will move down. Swans are going to have their job cut out in the League.

WEST COAST ROYALS

B B Wilson K Anderson R Maldenis
HB C Morton J Derickx A Selwood
C D Cadwallader A Sweet J Oakley-Nicholls
HF A Bennell P Johnson M Swan
FF M Seal J Smith C Wulff
F S Lycett J Cripps B Lee
Int. M Fraser, S Payne, F Clutterbuck, M White, J Payne, M Howlett, B Higgins, C Grover
In S Lycett, A Selwood, B Wilson, J Cripps, F Clutterbuck, C Grover, Out A Boyes, C Hart,

ROYAL 2019 wrote: That is true EP has been taken over by aliens. But without a strong stand alone EP what does that make the WAFL. It rhymes with bunt up, the WAFL clubs should have allowed the Eagles it's on team. But no that would be to easy we will have a further compromised comp instead, we'll done presidents.

It was no fun watching Embley, Clark and Taylor play against us when we had the last host club alignment.

I think you are Hallucinating again SwanDog. It wont be whether EP EAGLES win but by how much. I assure you I would love nothing more than for Swans to win and leave it to the G7 clubs to play it out in our last year of WAFL
Hopefully I am wrong and you bury the Ferals.

BH, about that time of the week to touch base with you. How you feeling about the big game on Sunday? If the Hansen thing isn't a smokescreen and he's playing I gotta admit it's making my stomach turn a little for the worse. Find it hard to believe in a team sport you'd allow a player a free pass in to the team at this stage of the year given that he's not answering an SOS coz we've lost a big guy with injury or something to this extent. Other than that bubbling with confidence and looking forward to a nice day out in the sun. Just have a feeling the boys are gonna turn one on for us this week ;)

It is absurd when you think about it and opens a real pandoras box. I can imagine next year other teams will use this loop hole around finals time. I can see my club exploiting it worse than most by loaning players out and then bringing them back for finals, when the number of Eagles dries up. I think a system where East Perth have zero AFL players if we make the finals is fair and a cap of ten during the year perhaps. All this could have been negotiated beforehand if the WAFL presidents had stuck together instead of thinking they had any power in Western Australian football.
