I think if he plays it is worth the risk as its a first semi and we have to roll the dice, plus I heard Dawson on radio saying they were thinking of playing an extra tall to stretch us, but Hansen would negate that. Plus he commands a good defender thus releasing some pressure off Swoop. He would still be fit and without niggles, plus as a forward coach with the Bulldogs he would have been engaging in training drills throughout the year etc. You don't lose your ability and he is still a young man really. This would have been in the planning a while back if it was going to happen as Swan42 pointed out.
We may cop some shit over this if he plays but at least it may steal the back page off the AFL and get an extra 2k into Basso. The WAFL do bugger all promotion so we may as well do it ourselves! Carn the ducks!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's one interpretation of it, others might find it a little mercenary. Personally I'm ambivalent towards it as you have to beat whoever is on the park. I believe Billy Walker might be another late inclusion.

That is true EP has been taken over by aliens. But without a strong stand alone EP what does that make the WAFL. It rhymes with bunt up, the WAFL clubs should have allowed the Eagles it's on team. But no that would be to easy we will have a further compromised comp instead, we'll done presidents.
