I think you have confused how East Freo fans might feel with your own roller coastered emotions. We were just happy to help out and a provide a home for a disgruntled player. Whereas (one word) Cody wanting to Leggett out of Mineral Resources came as quite a shock to its long suffering supporters. Why Cody? why!?! Some even tried to deny it was so. The player then taking the club all the way to arbitration must of been quite a blow - one that cannot be properly dealt with or gotten over merely by acting like petulant children on another clubs fan discussion board.

Now the joy of what some see as victory is being tempered by anxiety over whether the player will actually return. Can you force a player to play? Only time will tell what will happen with that but one thing that is certain is as Mineral Resources followers slowly disperse the IQ average will increase on the East Freo threads board.

I love it how you flogs go to great lengths to try to convince us it's such a big blow to our club because one established league player wanted to leave. The club with the egg plastered across it's face is your disgrace of a club for showing zero respect for the rules. If your club had an ounce of decency it would have turned Cody away from the outset instead of getting all excited like little children that you might be able to get one up on a rival club and steal one of their best.

Your club has poured a massive amount of resources into the whole thing and come up with nothing. You achieved nothing for yourselves except a trashy reputation and messed up the career of a promising young player who's career was going along nicely because you are a selfish football club.

Just pleased that Buffalo Bill has opened up the possibility to big Earl that Cody might be more effective of a half back flank....I guess after a decade of coaching, with a premiership and numerous finals appearances, Bill was gracious enough to take the time to help his less successful, wooden spoon winning coach, out....I bet the Perth boys can't wait till Earl moves on....Gary Moss's appointment can't come soon enough I reckon....a young fella going places in the coaching world apparently....if anyone could make Leggett stay at Perth, it would surely have to be Moss.....tho I hear Woey has indicated to Cody he is prepared to give him some decent half back flank game time exposure at North Freo in 2020.

Speaking of North Freo, that team mentioned earlier, for an ammo comp, does looks more than healthy.

More Perth coach bashing? Let's see how the Buffalo or should we say Wildebeest go over the next 2 years of his contract living within the rules, something that is foreign to the Wildebeest.

DD...messed up a young players career?...pretty sure multiple wooden spoons and no finals or state footy exposure hasn't really helped Leggetts quest for an AFL gig hey mate?...look at the ones who do get drafted into the AFL...either post state carnival u/18 exposure or post state or finals footy as a mature age player...such as Pickett, Kelly, Jetta, Cameron et al over the years...

I guess desperate times require desperate measures with a footy CV like Leggetts....obviously last roll of the dice for the kid....hey we have all been there I suppose one way or another....when it comes off we look like a hero....when it doesnt...the proverbial zero....for Cody the latter and EF now through association...

As for more Perth coach bashing??...just pumped up Moss's coaching ability....great decision by the PFC....but seriously DD on results alone you really can't think Spalding has a better coaching CV then Monaghans....Spalding has 7 years of WAFL coaching with multiple spoons and one finals appearance....whilst Monaghan has multiple upon multiple finals appearances with a flag to boot....as for Monaghan being involved in WP financial mess...yeah I guess every coach thrives on having his players more focused on off field concerns, like not being paid, then on field concerns like concentrating on winning football games...reckon Monaghans last year at WP in 2018 realistically outshone his achievement in winning the flag a few years back for WP v EP....to make a GF with all that off field financial chaos going off, was a huge effort and a testimony to his coaching and man management ability...but hey I guess the EF gig will definitely be another feather in his coaching cap if he can turn this rabble of a club around....

It all comes down to the cattle available you know that. Where do you rank Perth's ruck division and forward talent in 2019?

When was the last time Perth had a player drafted as a ruckman or key forward? We would have the weakest zones (metro and country) in the competition when it comes to producing tall man talent.

Whereas your club has an embarrassment of riches in that department and are still rubbish.

Mineral Resources have not completely languished in footballs cellar for the last 4 decades. The periannial whipping boys have had the occasional foreray into September. Big bad Mal Brown's time at that club was not just memorable for his 3 quarter time forfeit of the reserves side - he took the side to a preliminary final against the eventual premiers in 1986. A few minutes of You tube footage does exist of another rare finals appearance in 1997. Last season a 50/50 win loss record was achieved but alas no September action ensued. Sadly that looks to be the extent of the latest blip on the radar.

The coach wanting to do a Cody himself suggests underneath the surface at Mineral Resources all is not well. With players and coaches not wanting to be there these must be worrying times for their supporters with season 2020 less then 50 days away. Regrettably our club seems to be the scapegoat for much of the frustration and simmering anger of their supporters as they start to sense the inevitable slide.

Time for you to stop quoting history to make you feel better about yourself and somehow justify your own clubs ongoing failings. Look in your own backyard son and worry about that and leave the worrying about our club to us.

I hope that people would be more circumspect about some comments about individuals as they may be considered libellous. I think it is time to hit the delete button. Any further derogatory comments will be deleted.

Leave that to the administrators to make that call. There is a report post function for that.
