The only thing I thought the PFC would have done is spoken to Cody of his intentions before it went to arbitration. Most knew the decision was going to be upheld. Surely a simple question - are you going to come back or are we wasting our time? Obviously no-one asked the right questions and the PFC get SFA and EF will get Cody a year later for nothing. To me this was bad, bad management from the PFC!!! I know the integrity needs to be upheld but we're not talking AFL contracts here we're talking basic WAFL footy wages and the PFC should have asked the question and moved on.
My question to the Perth faithful is what and/or who pissed Cody off that much for him to sit out of WAFL football for a year? There must be more to it than just the half back flank thing.
One thing that I posted before that Bill stated on Sport FM was that Perth were prepared to release him interstate but not to another WAFL club...interesting???

Firstly your coach is a fuckwit who talks a lot of shit.
Secondly it was not a waste of time in fact Perth did a favour to the rest of the competition by letting the arbitration process play out which upheld and vindicated the contract that is between the Perth FC and Cody Leggett. That shows how naive and incompetent your club and Cody Leggett’s manager are.
Thirdly your club will have to cough up 10k next year if you want him.

Sounds like you and Buffalo have much in common.

Clearly the Mineral Resources flogs daily assurances are an attempt to convince themselves that their club has handled the situation well - if only they could see they are only fooling themselves.

I think the problem is the folk at Mineral Resources suffer delusions of grandeur - they now think they are the West Coast Eagles and their players pay equates to a generous livelihood.

Well there we have it. We are flogs, fools and delusional to boot.
And here is me thinking that we were better than that.
TE, the delusions are all your own. PFC have handled the Leggett saga as they should have with dignity and responsibility. Any other club would have acted exactly the same given all the circumstances. Perhaps not EF.
So, we flogs will not be lectured to by you. :P :P :P

EF don’t have to come up with anything but cash. Leggett won’t play at Perth in 2020. Even if he doesn’t play at EF- he’s a big loss for the Demons.

I’d say Bill and Doddy would be happy to wait 12 months to pay half the price

Looks like you might be on the money there mate...

They hold the power in the negotiations, longer it goes the more power they have if EF want him for 2020.

Seems like Perth is powerless after all if Leggett is happy not to return to the MRP nest post arbitration ...unless he has a change of heart, seems like Leggett is prepared to sit out of the WAFL, would be silly to do so, but geez Perth must of pissed him off big time to
(1) leave even whilst
contracted
(2) take it all the way to
arbitration
and(3) then risk any AFL lifeline,
plus $500+ per weekby by not
playing WAFL in 2020
Still scratching my head at why Leggett is still playing stubborn buggers TBH....as the Perth boys say...suck it up Cody and just see out the year...we all have to do plenty of things we hate in life for the greater cause.

Freezin do you think Bill and Dodd are saying to Cody mate bury the hatchet with your club, don’t waste your talent playing ammos, you will miss out on a state guernsey (Broadbridge already started a youth policy towards state selection this year) and the chance to prove yourself against the best?

Or are they saying fuck Perth, tell them you are prepared to sit out the year and they will get half next year? In other words EF putting themselves first in all of this not the players welfare?
Get on your bike.

No EFFC does not attempt to force players to stay at the club.

DD why you asking me mate?....I thought STT or DF or even your good self were more privy to those Buffalo whispers mate. I haven't got a clue what EF have said to the lad or what Perth have done to piss the lad off....as for who is putting themselves first in the players welfare...well all I can see so far is a young fella who is unhappy where he is, seeking a way out, obviously he can't because he is contracted, but yet his unhappiness lingers on to the point, he is considering not playing at all....read into that what you want...let's just hope common sense prevails and we can all get back to the 2020 season....for some it maybe the 2021 season...so be it I guess.

The arbitrator has found that PFC DID NOTHING WRONG.

Cody was all of a sudden 'pissed off' with PFC after the Buffalo offered him more $.

How have you not worked this out.

Curse of the buffalo.

Care to provide proof that Bill Monaghan offered Cody more money?
