I guess with wins so few and far between over the last 40 years at Mineral Resources you have to make the most of them when they do come and bask in that warm afterglow while you can. After all an angry and dark cloud never seems that far away.

Does seem though that in your exuberance to revel in this one you have failed to notice it is a hollow victory. Next to nothing has been gained as the player left months ago. You may have saved face but there was little left of that to save after years and decades of being an abject failure and last seasons last gasp choke.

Suggest you go and buy Saturdays West. Leggett is staying put and will return to the club and honour his contract. He’ll be suiting up in red and black at Mineral Resources Park and hopefully he comes to his senses and dumps that useless manager that EF probably set him up with and puts pen ? to paper and signs on for another 2 or 3 years.

Or has he already signed a contract to play for your lot beyond this year? All will be revealed but if he has then decides he wants to stay that will end up another post season disaster.

You are the big losers, massive losers because you put so much focus into this you took your eye off the ball and gained next to fuck all in terms if recruiting, meanwhile my club got on with the job, business as usual and a very active off season bringing in a number of players with experience who were available and ELIGIBLE for a transfer and while granting a couple of players their wish to seek further opportunities elsewhere without the drama because they were either eligible for a transfer or in the NOT REQUIRED category.

Clearly Perth Football Club wins hands down. Your club needs to get that massive chip off it’s shoulder.

Newspapers are a bit dubious as a source of information DD so will let your recommendation pass - cheers anyway. I am happy with our coach, squad and recruiting and as for the season ahead only time will tell. In the meantime I would of thought Leggett's desertion would be more relevant to the Season 2020 thread on the Mineral Resources board.

I find it strange that Perth have allowed Ninyette to go to SF but have played hardball with Leggett.

If a player has such an issue with a club he’s played 60 odd games with and is contracted but still takes it all the way to arbitration- I think it’s pretty clear he doesn’t want to be there and he has reasons.

Firstly if Leggett doesnt want to be there in 2020,he wont!
The PFC and coaching staff have stated hes a required player and will be welcomed back,if he chooses to walk back through the door.

Secondly not all players on a list in any given season will be in the coaches plans,now Ninyette through mutual agreement with the club and himself had the same views therefore he was cleared to South.
The club stated all along that the contracted Leggett was a required player for the 2020 season.

And thirdly your mail through this whole saga has been way off so if you say he wont be back then its a given he'll be in red and black in 2020.

I do not expect to hear any more about what may come out in the wash. All fantasy as far as I am concerned.
I believe that we may discover a lot of things if and when Cody returns which I expect he will.
We will see by his attitude and endeavour how he approaches the disappointment of the arbitration outcome. He will know where he stands and his actions will dictate what lies ahead for him.
I have no doubt that the coaches and players, the members and supporters will be there right behind him in support.
