The problem for some on here is to keep implying that PFC is somehow responsible for Cody’s desire to leave the club, not looked after him and being unreasonable in standing firm in the refusal to clear a contracted player.
I have no idea why he wants to leave. There have been suggestions that he has fallen out with Perth and players on one hand to EF enticing him to leave on the other. .
The banter that is going on is counter productive to everybody understanding the truth. Cody has a lot of friends at Perth so that makes it more confusing.
Personally, I agree with PFC ‘s stand not to clear a contracted and required player. Our argument in arbitration will be about the contract plus the fact that a 1 point player would need to be replaced by a 5-7 point player. Compensation would need to be fair and reflect all issues.
It will be up to WAFC to decide. If they ignore the contract, that will have implications for all clubs and contracted players. That would mean all contracted players will be virtual free agents.
Whatever the outcome I see legal implications with precedents being set.
As you say, we can only await and see.

The other problem on here Smokester is that there are some folk here, who keep implying that EF coach is filling Cody's head with rubbish on mere heresay, there farking own.... and that the EFFC is somehow responsible for Cody's desire to leave the PFC, even though he is an adult and a contracted player,loved by many apparently at the PFC....hopefully the truth will come out ....because something just ain't right....if its so obvious EF has acted inappropriately, why have Perth kept this saga going for so long...puzzling eh mate....

My source at EF says arbitration is definitely on.....as for double the money?...give us a figure and I'll go and ask him what he knows....as for being an extra on a movie mate....sheesh you heard the rumour or probably started it....so yep must be true I guess....why would I have a reason to doubt your credibility and reliability....you have been spot on so far with Cody...

That’s what happens when it’s been a long time between drinks Freezin. You start getting excited at stupid little things like an arbitration hearing. Pinning your hopes on winning anything you can get your hands on.

If history suggests anything, it doesn’t go to arbitration unless the complainant can win.
