Just remember they're the vehicle for change not the driver of it...it's Leggett who's putting himself in this position as he has choices so any diatribe should be directed at him and not EF imo.

True BC a lot of this is driven by Leggett himself but I'd say he's a naive young man being ill advised firstly by his manager and Bill Monaghan and their football manager have acted unprofessional and taken advantage of a contracted and required player. They let their excitement and desperation get the better of them.
In my opinion it reflects poorly on all of those above.

Meanwhile Perth FC desperately clings to a player who would rather stand out for the year than play for them. That says plenty.

He's made his decision.
Not sure we want him back.
But he won't play for EF in 2020.
He's under contract.

Ti Em, it is not a matter of preventing a player from wanting to play elsewhere.
It is all about contract law. The player is under contract to PFC for 2020. The club is entitled by law to hold the player to that contract as a required player. No desperation there.
Consider if PFC attempted to break that contract by telling the player that he is no longer required and he can move on or dwell in the ressies for the balance of his contract. All hell would break loose.

You EF boys need to get real and move on and concentrate on the real issues facing your club down there at Shark Park.

I will follow your example because you clearly have moved on.

Landlords usually are the owner. Do you think Perth FC own the player? Sounds not only draconian - sounds daft if you think they can force a player to play.

Stand the Test wrote: Best to ignore BC on this issue, as he has a vested interest in having a crack at players rather than clubs for obvious reasons. (For eg David Robbins must have contacted subi not the other way round etc)

It is all EF’s fault and is hurting the WAFL and people and it should never ever have come to this.

The curse of the buffalo has moved from wp to ef.

Did you see the list of players named by BH on the WP thread the other day? All paid for by money they weren't entitled to spend. Another club joins the Fake Flag club. Can understand why Monaghan is getting desperate after a 5 win season he wants to protect his coaching legacy.

Have it your way bud. Like a tenant ‘desperately clinging’ to his lease to stop his landlord kicking him out.

You and your club are not v clever.

The situation has nought to do with me. I have one thought on the matter and that is there is no point in keeping a player who does not want to be there - which is precisely what Perth FC is doing.

Ok, lets say the arbitrator agrees with you, bad luck Perth yeh yeh we know he's contracted but look he just doesn't want to play for you anymore, take your 10k transfer fee and be happy with it and let Mr Leggett play for EF.

Fast forward 12 months, Subi have been denied again by a rampaging WCE or Peel reserves side laced with tall timber and Subi president says I've had enough of this shit, this injustice. Go out and get whoever you can I want some ruckmen and tall marking forwards.

Somehow the Subi FM just happens to bump into Strnadica in his day to day job as a Pepsi rep and says hey mate look what i've got in my brown paper bag, not only that can set you up in a nice new Condo rent free. All of a sudden the CONTRACTED AND REQUIRED Strnadica says I'm unhappy at Shark Shit Park, blames the facilities and another 8th, 9th place finish.

You happy to grant him his wishes even though he is a contracted and required player?
