Intraclub game tonight, last I heard it was starting at 5.30pm, will wonder down for the first half before heading off to other engagements. Very interested to see the new lads in action.

Spoke briefly with Senior who went along to have a look tonight. Said Madut was having a red hot go, Cockie looks like he has been living in the weights room and looks ready to put a few opposition midfielders in the ER. Full report shortly

G'day boys, got down for the first half, caught up with Charlie and Bensti/LaHincha rocked up just I was leaving, good to see some of the old outer boys.

The Boys look scary fit and plenty have spent some valuable time in the gym. Cockie is massive, 3 bags of cement through the midriff and all muscle, was moving very nicely withy good pace despite his bulk and snapped a couple of nice ones in the first half, will be clearing plenty of space for the little guys in Kitch and Robbo. Dave Madut was in an angry space, quite physical for an intra club game, showed some great pace, tackling hard and took some good grabs, Not being able to get to many colts and ressies games I wasn't to familiar with a lot of blokes but Charlie pointed out a kid called Hay? was playing at FF and a nice mover, good size and a thumping kick, showed plenty in the lower grades last year and appears well worth a go in the 1's. Halligan was very creative in the mids/forward, Lockyer looks cherry ripe at CHB. Liam Ryan looked a bit tentative but moves well and reads the play like a natural. Didn't notice Broughts much but we all know what he can do. Clang didn't play first half, like a few other regulars.

We are not a tall team and with the loss of Bolland and with Grimley going to the cheats we could be found out in that area. Will need Madut to stay fit and play consistently well and Bestry needs to get fit, looks like he's been in a good paddock. That will allow Clang & Dela more time in KP's, mids and defence will be very strong again, but mids will have to provide more goals and hopefully a couple of the forwards will pop up with 30 or 40 goals. Halligan is the guy we need to step up and kick around 50 in place of Yazz, something he's capable of and if Charlie's right, young Hay can do the job at FF. The other left field idea for a full forward would be Broughts, would be so hard to match up on, strong fast great off the ground and can jump over tall buildings when he feels inclined.

We'll find out a lot more next week when we need to get a bit more serious in the game against the munchers.

Being tongue in cheek, but noticed this in your report.

"Dave Madut was in an angry space, quite physical for an intra club game, showed some great pace, tackling hard and took some good grabs,"

Did you mean to write that ;) Just I don't recall the fella being able to take makes to well. He must really be developing? He certainly looks imposing in the recent photo I saw.

I know what you mean Singa but he did take a couple of grabs which as you say is not what he's known for so hoping there's been an improvement in that area. As a physical specimen he's a real piece of work and if he decides to use that for the benefit of the mids it will be very useful, with Cockie we will have a real physical presence at the ball ups.
